I need new boots, and there is not way I can get to a boot fitter, or any place that sells half-decent boots around me.

The nearest is 5 hours away and I'm 17 so i can't drive all the way there.

I got some 29.5 booters, and they are way too big.

To give you an exact size of my foot, a size 9.5 fits my foot exactly.. like, it's the same size as my foot.

I am going to either get some Drop Kicks or Tom wallisch models of full tilts (i have learned that i do not need the extra width of the booters).. should I go for a 27.5 or a 27?

I can't get to a bootfitter and I need some new boots!

go to a bootfitter

but really, try friends boots on? also, there must be some kind of shop at your resort. I wear a 9-10 and have 25.5 classics, so a 27.5 wont necessarily fit.

whole and half size boots are the same shell, so a 27.5 and a 27 are the same boot.

not trying to give advise, but just as a reference. my feet are about a perfect 9.5-10 shoe size. i wear a 28.5 booted, but i also have wider feet. i personally like the extra little bit of space. when i use a 27 boot, i get some foot pain. mind you your foot isn't the same as mine.

booter. stupid auto correct.

and if anybody wasn't sure on the size thing, from evo's website : Ski boot manufacturers don’t make boot shells in every half size, so you should look for boots in either a 26.0 or 26.5. The difference between these two sizes is the liner and/or insole size. For a shoe size conversion chart, check out our Mondo Point Size & Conversion Chart.

How far are you from MT.LaCrosse? If your close go to the Tyrol shop in Rochester, MN. That shouldn't be more than 2 hours if your close to LaCrosse.

Never been to their shop but sounds like they might be your best option for trying boots.

I would first suggest getting precise foot measurements. Especially the "last" measurement and doing some research on various boot measurements.

The fact that your set on getting full tilts... and can't seem to get to a boot fitter - is a recipe for disaster. I dont know how you even ended up in a 29 shell if your a size 9 sneaker. Thats ridiculous

Yeah I'm right by mt lacrosse.. And yeah I never thought about mn. Lol damn do they have boot fitters there?

Okay thanks. Could I just measure these myself? And yeah don't ask about the other boot... Long story

Doesn't say if they have BFs but they say they carry Dalbello, Technica, Nordica. They should have a good amount boots to try on.

If you really want some of the best boot fitters in the midwest go to Pierce skate and ski in Bloomington,MN. They are probably thee best BFs in the Midwest but lack Freestyle brands. But they can find you a good boot that fits well.

Kinda far for you.

I'd check the Tyrol shop first.

ok shoe size does not translate to mondopoint at all. Find out what your mondopoint is.

Also someone said above, 27 and 27.5 is the same shell and liner. The only difference is a layer of fabric on the foot bed to make it feel tighter. I suggest getting a custom foot bed anyway.

I second Pierce being the best bootfitters in MN, and likely the midwest. Dave Hinz is a god. My feet are fucked beyond belief and he makes my boots work. its amazing.

I like to have snug shoes, my size in Nikes is 9.5. And they don't really have extra room. I wear 27.5 Full Tilts.

My advice is to order from a webstore with a good return policy. Why not order 26.5, 27 and 27.5? Then just return the ones that don't fit.

So you went with booters, even though there too wide for you. Than if you know regular FT's will fit, why didn't you go with them in the first place. Seems to me you just want to be in Full Tilts. And I don't think I have ever heard this one before, syke.

If I could be of any help though, I wear a size 11.5 nike/adidas, and wear a size 27.5 Salomon/Tecnica/Full Tilt with boot work. Without boot work Id be in a 28.5 Full Tilt, but it would end up to big after if packed out. If i went by the conversion without an actual fitting, I would have gone with a 29.5, which I did at first, and I was swimming around. Seriously try to get to a fitter, or your going to waste your money.

Your 17, but cant drive 5 hours? I moved to Miami (half way across the country) and lived on my own when I was 17 hahah... Ask you parents to take a day trip up if that's how you roll.

Well my parents don't give a shit, but I don't have enough money to spend a day driving by myself.

And, yes, I got the full tilts because they were full tilts, but I got them for a really really really good price (don't wanna say how much because I'm selling them on here...) so I just went for them

Yeah i know lol.

I just got them for a really really good price and just told myself, "oh, they'll fit."

yeah, i'm not going to do that again.

Since then i've been to a shop, and got "fitted" (if you can even call it that, stupid shop people) to a size 27.5 boot, and tried on my friends tom wallisch full tilts in 27.5 and my other friends in 28.0 and I think i'll get the 27.5.. it felt better
