Ohio Legalizes Weed!

jeez of course they waited for me to quit for this to finally happen

I don't have high hopes though, our med weed system is possibly the worst in the entire country

Yeah only gripe is communities can ban new businesses if they desire but can't kick out existing medical companies even if those medical companies wanna build a rec dispensary there. So bound to be some small town lobbying for monopolies going on.

Then the bill says max 2.5 ounces to possess yet can grow 12 plants per household..... Lmao that doesn't work out right.

Otherwise super stoked. Same for abortion. None of these woulda passed if that shady shit they pulled in August went through.

It is quite bad. They gotta do some pricing adjustments. Just happy can grow now so 0% chance I'll ever be stepping foot in a dispensary.

Dang that sucks. Was hoping the newer states would be better. Some of the og states have some weird laws. In WA you can't smell the buds or anything. All has to be prepackaged. Kinda nice when they jist have a big old jar and pull you out an 8th.

Idk i barely smoke these days but always think it's wild that its illegal still

Michigan and Ohio can finally join hands in making fun of Indiana for officially being the lamest state in the Midwest w/ no legal weed and jesus freaks every where.

They kinda had to do it... They have had a terrible, shrinking population and their industries have been dragged for years as corporations have moved manufacturing overseas. The population has aged out and nobody is moving there from elsewhere.

The only people voluntarily moving to Ohio in the last 2 decades are Dave Chappelle for some reason, football players getting recruited to play for the Buckeyes, and people from Kentucky moving to Cincinnati because it's just slightly less terrible. They needed to do this to reverse some of that trend..

Finally, Ohio got it right! Now hopefully my job stops drug testing for it. When I first tested years ago, it was just a standard urinalysis, Now I am hearing of hair and saliva tests going down. I assume they still send urine samples off to a lab even for a Walmart JOB, but who knows?

I haven't been hit with a random test yet in my profession, but here's a fun tip: I've started carrying a bottle of [Quick Fix] in my work truck just in case. I mean, seriously, it's 2024, and we're still dealing with these privacy invasions! I have been smoking 420 and been feeling like a criminal way to long hahahah hopefully they stop testing for THC for employment like they do in Las Vegas.

About time Ohio now we can relax a lil.

Cheers,

since this got bumped by spam. Did they take down billboards about drug traffickers and calling the police if you see something "suspicious"? fuck that state.

Ohio/indiana/kansas are pretty much the worst police in the nation. They can all go to hell.
