Oh you want to go to Amsterdam to smoke weed in a coffee shop?

Idk it was posted the 27th on The Guardian and I hadn't heard anything about it so I thought it was new.

But yeah it def makes sense, still a bummer though since every self-respecting stoner dreams of chiefing in a coffee shop in Amsterdam.

Although it says coffee shops are planning to not adhere until they at least prosecute one so we will see?

"Coffee shop owners in the southern city of Maastricht have said they plan to disregard the new measures, forcing the government to prosecute one of them in a test case."

haha not a single fuck was given

Just go to Prague. In Europe its getting the nickname "New Amsterdam"

And its cheap as shit, amersterdam is expensive

are you fucking retarded? do you know how much this is going to hurt their economy, they're prime tourism group is people wanting to get high.

The government is mad that they are becoming a hub for international drug trade, fueling a lot of criminal activity. They don't care if individuals want to smoke up in a coffee shop, but their laws are being abused.

I can see that.. however they have to realize that their economy is given quite the boost because of tourists coming for this exact reason.

it can't be THAT different. it's not like they've got some magical trick that we don't have in the states. yeah, yeah, different strains, blah blah, but in the end it all still gets you blown. it's not like we're talking the difference between stomped on yayo or boy in the states vs. fresh off of the key in south america or Afghanistan.

i can see going there because it's a beautiful city/culture/etc., and sure it's a plus that they've got fire, too, but to go there solely for their dope seems dumb to me. iuunnoo. each his own i guess.

i think it's dumb that the government is doing this because of increased criminal activity. as if making it illegal is going to decrease criminal activity...if anything, it will increase it even more. it's not like people are going to stop selling drugs to foreigners...jesus, haven't they learned anything from the US "war on drugs"?

Why they did this was because many shop owners and citizens saw and believed that weed tourism had negative effects on the town, barring some monetary aspects. People blowing up on the streets and acting like complete assholes as high out-of-towners and seriously coming over "just because" of the weed culture. So I see where they're coming from, but it's not illegal per se, just highly limited from now on - we still don't know how it will be monitored if it doesn't blow over in the coming months.

glad I',m dutch ;)

But really It's not enforced at all, coffee shop owners are deciding not to do it. The Netherlands is a joke when it comes to law enforcement.

just the title of this thread sounds like a pretty fucking boring and stupid thing to want to do anyways.

No need to freak out, this is really a non-issue, nothing bad will happen. Don't get so worked up.

I don't see why people want to smoke in coffee shops or get weed from dispensaries so bad. Getting a space cake or smoking a spliff in a shop would be cool but the weed is no better than buying from a dealer. I have heard that you can still get soap bar in some coffee shops along with hash that hasn't been properly flushed of solvents and what not in dispensaries in the us, along with getting low grade bud. Its a shame that there are places out there that just try to screw you. Obviously there are good coffee shops. my friends sister studied in Amsterdam for 6 months and said that the space cakes were dank and she tried to get her parents to smoke a joint or eat a space cake in a shop but they refused. It beats me why anyone would pass up that offer?

I don't know about Amsterdam but fro my experience in WA The dispensary experience is 1000x better than me buying it from my dealer. Nearly any strain I want at most a 30 minute drive away is extrememly convenient. Not limited to what kinda schwag the local dealer has ever.

I live in WA too and my dealer always seems to get the fire. Its danker than the bud that kids deal from the dispensaries at my school and ive seen kids resell schwag ass bud that looks terrible as hell from the dispensary. Don't get me wrong you get a choice with the strains at dispensaries and you can get high mids. If you know who to buy from you can get better bud than the dispensaries. My friend who has a green card buys from a dealer most of the time, he rarely buys from the dispensaries because he is able to purchase higher quality ganja from the dealer. Get dispensary bud if it is better than your dealers stuff its not bad in no means i just hate the hype "OMG its dispensary bud look at its dankness".

Yeah I feel you, most kids that resell dispense weed are hitting on that "omg dispense weed dank!!!!!1!1!1" crowd because they can buy $4/g schwag and sell it for 10-12. Easy way to make some money. And yeah if you have a legit dealer you can always go that route, just depeds on the area you live or whatever. Also dispensaries generally always have decent hash and concentrates which dealers don't usually have, good solid OG hash oil is the bees knees IMO.

Dispensaries hook it up with the dank edibles though. a kid at my school got a chai tea and he basically was drunk off the thing(he was at home when he drank it). He said it got him by far the highest he has ever been. He then gave some of it to one of his friends during class who had no idea it was laced with thc we notice he starts staring off for a while, then he turns around and says "what the fuck was in that tea i think im stoned." we all started laughing. good times haha.

I'm referring to the fact that almost anything you buy there will be upwards of 20% THC, which is above average for sure. I'm just saying that's normal around there.

fuck yeah i have dual citizenship with holland. i doubt they would enforce this anyway though

Meh it depends on the shop. I've gotten more bunk edibles from a dispensary than quality ones. I'd rather buy cannabutter and make my own.

its not in amsterdam, its in the southern part of the netherlands, only supposed to stop people from driving over the border to buy weed then drive back, they aren't going to kill a HUGE part of their tourism in the largest city

same. i never rely on dispensary edibles, always better to make your own. same with errls, I've had some awful oil through dispensaries. and whenever the oil is perfect its like 50 a gram+. fuck people in southern california.

I've only gotten a few diff oils but the best concentrate J ever got was this stuff called " headsand". Bubble gum sugarleaf mixed with OG oil and keif. It was dank to say the least, but it was $50/g so it was more of a one time thing to try.

$50/g that is not possible....Weed is at most most like White Widow at 25$/g and thats really really pushing it I would say usually more like $10-15 per gram of dankness.

Where the hell do you live that its so expensive dam.

They are, actually. Or that's what our minister of security wants. He's some fucking asshole who doesn't understand anything. Good thing he is NOT coming back. There are already big problems arising concerning drug tourism in the south by germans/french/Belgians going across the border to get drugs. Shit is getting whack. I'm pretty sure it won't get pulled through. Our cabinet just blew up and he really doesn't have that much to say anymore.

I REALLY hope they don't pull through with this. Most politicians are against the 'weed pass', still that asshole pushed through.

weed pass is only for the south like arround the border. but if they like the idea of a weed pass then its going national but its maybe going of the hook cuz it gets more drug dealers on street and more criminals.

I bet the top coffeeshop owners just banded together to lobby so they could use the "drug excuse" to monopolize the coffeeshop industryPr
