Went to my local brewery last night as they were having a hot ones themed party with a wing challenge. 7 wings with sauces from season 19. The chef is a good friend so he threw an 8th wing on the tray with his own custom hot sauce.

1-4 weren’t too bad, hot but not suffering. 5-7 dear god. Surprisingly 5 was the worst overall with super initial heat but it didn’t last. 6-7 while not as hot as 5 lasted a lot longer.

chefs wing was actually pretty tasted. It was a raspberry jam habanero wing. Wasn’t too hot but damn the flavor was good.

suffering today. The burn is real. My gf was late to work today lol. Bathroom was calling her name for a while as well. Had to sign a waiver.

im not super into hot stuff but this was a fun event. For sure the hottest stuff I’ve personally ever ate. I was sweating like a monster and my face started feeling numb with a slight tingle.

anyone else a fan of heat or have any fun experiences they’ve done?

One of my now best ski buddies did a hot ones challenge the evening before we were to depart on our first ski trip to Colorado together. I had skiied a few days with him at our local resort (Willamette Pass) but had not spent any time with the dude that didn't involve wearing ski boots.

We were flying out of PDX very early and had met after his hot ones event to crash out and carpool to the airport.

Randomly in the middle of the night he gets up to go to the bathroom and blacks out, falling into the shower trying to make it to the can. Shits his pants. Comes too in the bathroom a few minutes later, realizes he shit his pants and takes a shower.

As if that wasn't enough, on the way to the airport hes hit by another wave of emergency nausea, asks me to drive the remainder of the way to the airport parking lot and has to take a shit in the parking lot into a low sided box from Costco (about 4 am at this point). Pretty hilarious.

We went on to have an awesome ski trip, he showed me around all parts of CO, we've since become really great friends. Every Christmas I get him a nice quality bottle of hot sauce to commemorate our friendship.
 
I crave this type of suffering but I fear I may be genetically immune to it or something. I have sought out this exact experience and and have been left disappointed every time. I have a feeling it is something with my own body because I've gone out with people and they've had the same reaction you did while I'm just sitting there like "is this really it?"

have you tried the notorious ones from the show? a couple are very hot... some have good flavor with the heat, some like da bomb are just straight up terrible

also if y'all like hot ones you should watch conan's episode from recently, he killed it, easy hall of famer
