Ogden

Not in the mood to get raped, but if I ever feel like getting sexually harrassed you'll be at the top of my list.

On a slightly more serious note, the Jibyard is gone now, so no more of that in the summer. If you want to spend some money, you can go to the indoor skydiving place. I think there is a pretty good mall there. I live in SLC so I don't know a lot of specific things, but there is always the generic good Utah stuff. Hiking, XC and DH mountain biking, motocross, basically anything outdoor/mountain related is excellent here. Once winter rolls around Powder Mountain is doooooooope.

damn you moved to ogden and not slc? that kinda blows...wood did that his first year out here and hated it up there

oh you're from ohio too, cleveland right?

its not too bad, its pretty close to like snowbasin and powder mountain, just haven't met too many people. my friend and i both moved out here, but we've really only met our neighboors.

After you live here for a year you should think about transferring to the U. In-state is cheap and SLC has a lot to offer. You might fall in love with Ogden, but if not that is always an option.

yeah that'd be sweet. its just im paying like 2 grand with housing. its pretty close to skiing too. but who knows, i'll have to see how it goes.

The junction is not too shabby 25th street is where all the good food is. The river walkway is beautiful bit shady after sunset. There are some rad shops around town as well. Head up to the oaks in the canyon for breakfast on the weekend it's not too pricey and there's usually an acoustic set being played if you sit on the patio by the river. All in all a good time. Really sick rock climbing place on 20th and Lincoln. There really is quite a bit to do in o town the bar and date rape scene just aren't as good as slc.

yeah for sure. my friend kassie and i we both moved out here (both from mansfield) we might be going to some of the premieres this week. friday should be pretty fun, poorboyz premiere, were looking for some afterparties to attend. haha

SOO many people from ohio out here.. im from dayton and goin to the U and LOVE it.. try to make it down here more often cause theres always stuff goin on

hey i just moved out to ogden too in the beginning of september. the salomon center has some sweet stuff to do. hiking the trails behind weber state is fun. theres some hot springs off of canyon road some where but i havent found it yet. for going out slc or teazers off of washington and 36th is decent interesting mix of ppl. but theres no actual college area of town cuz of the mormons.

Don't hit up the hot springs unless you want dysentery or at the very least like swimming in human waste I know too many jpricks that think it's funny to deuce in em

pretty sure the heat would kill any kind of bacteria.. buttt i would be pissed if i was chillin in em and there was shit everywhere

It would have to be REALLY hot to kill bacteria. My opinion echos everyone else's... Ogden can be ok but you should probably move to SLC if you can!

Weber is nice, no party life though because of all the commuters. The ski club is some real bullshit, it's all about the snowboard club. Brewski's is fucking great time. 25th street is pretty fun on fridays and saturdays, but do not go to the ko ko mo club or whatever it is. Powder Mountain kicks some ass you can always find some fresh snow somewhere, but the management are douche bags. I prefer pow mow over snowbasin, but that is just because i like the natural snowpack vs snow machines.

The Hiking is pretty good, my favorite trail head is at the top of 27th, it is only 5 miles to the top of mount ogden. Ogden canyon has some good climbing if you are into that and there is also a good wall with bolts at the top of 9th street.

Ogden isn't as exciting as SLC, but it is defenitly less crowded, you don't get as many bad inversions, and there are less hobo's. Good luck finding parties around town, you gotta know the right people.
