Official US Masters 2013 Thread

lol you're right it was me. Fowler is actually bringing a fresh new look to golf, symbolizing a youthful rejuvenation of a game otherwise dominated by tradition and class.

So much for bubba.

The 14 YO kid was assessed a one stroke penalty for slow play.

bullshit IMO, no one has been assessed a slowplay penalty stroke since 1995 on tour, and the kid already has a hard enough time not knowing english very well. having to battle that when dealing with his caddy, shoot if i had to go through all the checks a golfer and a caddy go thru before a shot, and have to translate thru finger signals and other forms, i think id be playing slow as well.

give the kid a break, dang.

I only care about Tiger Woods. If he wins, it will confirm my suspicion that he is back to banging hookers and using cocaine.

Tigers shot hit the flag then bounced in the water. fucking fail. then he replayed the shot and got maybe 4 yards away.

Yup, the most unlikely thing happened. Sucks, but he'll come back. He literally needs to finish -5 or -6 and he'll be golden for the weekend.

It would be so funny if golf became super popular with 15-22 year olds and theyd all dress in this style while older golfers maintain the current look.

kinda like....... freeskiing

I have no idea how invitations/qualifications for the masters works, but if this 14 year old kid is playing, why arent more young Protégés?

He won some tournament that gave him a entry into the masters. Most are people on the tour but the amateurs (name marked with an A) doing something pretty special to get into the masters. No doubt Guan will be joining the tour. He's about to be the younger person to make the cut unless someone birdies out (unlikely).

pretty big news that Tiger got a 2 stroke penalty. My bet is he is pissed off and comes out and shoots a 65 today

I wonder how the higher-ups at the masters feel about these officials whether they're techinically correct or not they are terrible business moves. they def dodged a bullet when Guan still made the cut

Mixed reports, These are strategically selected retweets from an overall good explanation of what happened. Follow this dude for more info

So unlucky for Tiger how what would've been a pretty good shot under normal circumstances has now turned into a triple bogey.

Not sure why people are crying for him to take himself out. If the rules have changed the rules have changed, he can clearly stay in.

Sportscenter keeps playing and playing tigers fuck up. They don't need to have a full on discussion 3 times over something stupid. Also I don't want to watch the shot 100 times when there are other highlights.

I don't understand the butt hurt retards who are like Tiger should remove himself from play. Like are you serious right now? Like besides the fact that i think logically that if a player signs an incorrect score card (unknowingly) that he should automatically be DQ is completely absurd and is overkill.

But on top of that they ruled that he is allowed to play. That's it, thats all. End of discussion, don't make him out to be a bad person or unethically because he is following the rules.

Lastly, I think it is 100% BS that a viewer from home who has way too much time on his hands can find a broken rule then just call in and have it be enforced after the fact. Like holy shit if we were to do that for every other sport think of how many different plays in all sports would be reviewed. Yea if ref misses a call, or blows a call, it sucks, lets make a huge deal out of it and talk about in Sports Center. But if it isn't called by the end of the game it was played, then it should be history.
