Hey NS

Lets see if we can get you guys to post all of your camera/accessory/editing programs, and maybe a short review on a product that you really like or dislike. Help other members see what is out there, and what people like.

I'll Start Out:

Film: GoPro HD

- Get this camera, it's amazing

Post up NS!

The part about posting what you have has already been done, but the reviews part is nice. I like that idea.

Love it all. the 7d is unbelievable and i still haven't really gotten into filming anything with it. the nifty 50 is a must have especially when you shoot low lot quite a bit like i do. for a stock lens, the 18-135 is awesome. a lot faster than i expected. the 55-250 was my first upgrade with the rebel i used to shoot with and still gets the job done.
the slik tripod pans great and is incredibly sturdy. but it weighs a damn ton. worth it for only 120 though

the v3 is definitely the best, the v2's gearbox is a little too big and bulky. I think they really perfected the design in the 3rd versus my 2.

oh and the review...for what it is, I love my t2i, however, I am hoping to upgrade to a 7d or 5d sooner than later...I bought the t2i because I am in love with the look and feel of hdslr's, but wanted to keep my HVX because I believe there are many things that each camera excels at individually.

as for criticisms, I love all of my equipment. there is obviously better equipment out there, but for the tools I felt I needed I got the best I could afford with the idea of upgrading as my filming continued.

as mentioned above, I do not believe it is the equipment that makes the filmer...however, they do make it easier to express yourself and get the shots you are hoping for. hope this is helpful in one way or another...

Canon T2i

Canon 17-40 f/4L

Love this setup. I've only had it about a month, so I haven't done too much with it, but so far its amazing. I would definately recommend it to somebody looking to get serious

Stills

Canon T2i

Canon EOS 50D

Canon 17-40 f/4

Canon 70-300

The T2i is great for high resolution photos, with 18 megapixels, but for photos I would personally go with the 50D if I had to choose. Burst of 6.3 a second is amazing, and the larger body feels a little more sturdy than the T2i. As for the lenses, the 17-40 is incredible. It is slightly softer than the rest of the L series, but it is still incredibly sharp, and I love the focus ring on it. The angle is plenty wide enough to film and shoot action sports.

The telephoto was recently taken on a trip to Costa Rica, and worked great.

Most of the stuff in this setup is mind blowing. Old cameras are the shit. However, I do not like the 70-200, and never use it. Other than that, I could not ask for a better setup.

a few pocket wizards, Vivitar 285v's, SB-28, (need to get learned/more into lighting)
Need to upgrade some stuff to complete the kit but it's a start. Overall love the kit, the D200 is perfect as my first body (had a D100 when i got into photo). it's enough camera to get what i want done and at the same time still learn about. I'm actually still learning about all it's different functions and such.
I absolutely love my Nikon glass. The quality is perfect for what i need. Only flaw in my kit at the moment is that i need a fisheye (14 doesn't cut it on the cropped format.)
would appreciate a good word on alien bees and the cyber syncs. Need something a little cheaper and with more of a punch. any help with this would be awesome
