Smaller battery than the s4 and a 2k screen with no removable battery. Battery life gonna suck

Apparently it actually has an amazing battery life. My s5 has really weird moments. Sometimes it won't last me all day, sometimes it will last me all week without charge, and with energy saving turned off. Pretty weird hahahah

I have been thinking about the galaxy s6 edge. I just like being able to replace the battery myself and also being able to have a micro sd card slot is awesome. They removed some pretty big features that most people look for when not wanting an iPhone.

I think most major smartphone manufacturers have removed the SD slot and removable battery from their flagship devices at this point. It's gone and it ain't coming back more than likely.

htc and sony still do.

Also samsung went back and made the s6 non waterproof, which takes it off the list of contenders for me

I am kind of bummed about not having the removable battery and sd card slot. but other than that, the specs on it are quite impressive.

also, the camera and options are pretty sweet, actually having "professional control options" will make it fun to take pictures on. I'm planning on upgrading to it this summer.

I'm still on the S4, which is getting slower and slower.

Last android I had was an S3. Looking at the S6, it doesnt really seem appealing compared to the S5. Removeable battery/SD + Waterproofing are some really big +1s for the S5

Galaxy s6 active was leaked. Got this from an article on Forbes

The exciting bit though is the Galaxy S6 Active will be both waterproof and feature a much larger 3500mAh battery. The former will be welcomed while the latter – if accurate – dwarfs the 2550mAh battery in the Galaxy S6 and is even more capacious than the 3220mAh batteries found in the Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6. In fact it should put to bed any need for a removable battery.

Had to look it up myself, the active model is probably going to be my next phone. My s4 has been great, never had a problem with samsung. All of my friends have iPhones and they all die from the cold when we're riding, I'm guessing it's all the metal in the frame?

I thought this too but then I realized that in the two years that I've had my s4 I have never removed or used a back up battery or really needed an sd card.

So I'm planning on upgrading to the s6.

You must have tiny pockets and tight pants.

idk i figured all pockets are pretty much the same and im not a tight pant wearing hipster.... i guess ive never tried putting one in my pocket since theyre always on those cables in stores. it just seems like it would be uncomfortable

I wear pretty normal pants/shorts and the phone fits fine in my pocket. If you're into skinny jeans youd notice but im sure the same person would notice anything in their pocket.

Bumping this thread. My iphone 4 needs replacing. I don't give a shit about removable battery or sd card slots because that is useless to me. Do I go iphone 6 or Galaxy S6?

It all comes down to how often you use your phone to communicate with people who also have iphones. The only advantage I ever saw in android phones was the SD card slot, and universal charger. Removable batteries are nice but not a huge interest for me. iPhones get most apps first, there are usually less crashes on iPhones in my experience, and I find the interface to be much quicker. I haven't had an android since 2012, and don't plan on getting anytime soon. I'm not an apple fanboy it's just to me they have the best phone.

iphone 6 withuot question. you won't regret the decision

Went to Verizon and the Galaxy S6 was definitely cool, but I went with the Iphone. I figured I was already familiar with the os and interface, and imessaging was really the deciding factor; even though I now have unlimited text. It's definitely convenient to have imessage for texting my friends who live outside the US (although whatsapp eliminates that concern anyway).

Both phones felt very similar and had similar if not the same qualities. Price was virtually the same. I would have liked to change it up but it was easier to stick with something I know.

I feel like Samsung done fucked up. I've ALWAYS chosen galaxy love iPhone. Because non removable batteries, and lack of sd card slots is stupid. Plus the waterproof feature was bad. Ass.

Now it's all gone. I will be getting an iPhone in September.
