see my car man. my bro and I have an 06 impreza wrx wagon thats past STI spec, new intakes, blow off valve, cob downpipe and exhaust and its chipped. 5 spd manual and were slapping on some swaybars soonish. Doesnt have a rack though. I'll bring it up to sugarloaf sometime, we'll rally it hahaha. nothing like passing logging trucks in that car...
 
VW and Audi... my moms bf drives a TT and I drive it sometimes. The thing has soooo much bawls. The turbo is so consistent in any gear / rpm range. Definately be getting an Audi A6 3.0 at some point in the next 10 years.
 
if i wanted to oversteer i'd vote audi. if i wanted to look like a homo, subaru. if i liked to spike my hair and wear puma race shoes, vw.
 
So if you wanted to look normal then you'd get a Chevy? Seriously, get the fuck out. Its okay to have some personality to your whip

That's a nice looking car. Is it a speed3 or just the regular hatch?

As far as Vdub vs. Subie vs. Mitsubishi, I think I'm torn between Subaru and Mitsubishi. I've never had any experience with VW other than my girlfriend's Jetta, so I'll leave them out for now. My brother has an '07 STi, which is incredibly fun to drive, but I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Evo. Hmm....the STi does sound excellent though. Tough choice.
 
been there done that i put new ones in aswell as crank seals cams seals water pump and timing belt this summer, should be good for at least another 100k
 
yeah i feel you. within a week of owning it (i just bought it a month ago) i already had to get the radiator replaced, new drive belts, and the front axel boot. and now, its heads, abs line is shot (isnt that big of a deal), and the fuel pump. car has been a money pit so far. but once everything is done, it'll go for awhile
 
I have a black 07 GTI manual. I fucking love VW. Just wish I had something a teeny better in snow. OP, your R32 is my fucking dream.
 
That's sick. I used to have an '04 Mazda 3s, but I always wanted the speed 3. It sucked hard in the winter though, so I got an FJ Cruiser and my brother took the Mazda when he turned 16. I came home from college one day to find out that he had sold the car and bought a used '07 STi. I never saw my Mazda again :(
 
ive had a VW Touareg for a few years and its a fucking beast. ive always thought of getting a subie but idk if its as good as all the hype
