for some reason im not worthy of this SS!!! i apparently dont contribute enough though ive been a member since july and ive purchased two pair of skis, a pair of boots, goggles, bandana all kinds of little shit and i post on threads daily.....i'll mail a present to europe if someone there will do the same for me. pm me if anyone is interested in doing this regardless of ns. ill prolly get neg karma points for speaking out against it but whatever. im 27 i live on my own and i am pretty confident in my ability to do what i say im going to do unlike some of the 12 year olds that were worthy that have all kinds of time to create threads about insignificant issues that will end up forgetting to send a present or will end up without enough money to get one.
 
Hey man, I can understand your predicament. I have 700ish posts, mediocre karma, and no feedback and I probably won't get invited either.
However, this is the first year something like this is being done so it is an experiment as well. Saying you have to have x number of posts or y amount of karma to get to join is a very generalized way to go about it but when this many people want to participate it is hard to go on a case by case basis. It isn't a perfect system, and hopefully next year it will be tweaked to work even batter.
 
Yea the problem is for ppl with not many posts is you dont know the temperament and If the just kids fucking around or will actually respect people enough to follow through
 
regardless, like i said i think this is a great idea and i am totally willing to take it upon myself to do it regardless of whether i fit the criteria for newschoolers ss. anyone who is interested hollar!!!
 
Change that to "You don't have 500 posts you could be a scammer" and you will be more accurate. It isn't a perfect solution but this hasn't been done before and there are bound to be good people who get left out.
 
this is the intrawebz. you cant just be giving out addresses and names to anyone who could be potentially sketchy. there could be serious issues not just for individuals, but even ns as a whole if this type of thing went wrong.

yeah totally don't agree with the post count. sorry i dont spend all my time on ns post whoring the threads. i've had my account for a few years and i've donated i figure that should be enough.

also, i have no problem being a ss to someone in nz... if they send me milo and pineapple lumps.

any kiwis want to send me kiwi treats in exchange for canadian treats? the postage really isn't that much.

because organizations with the initials "SS" have this negative history and it might look bad on us.

please tell me you are at least sending a NO to the people who don't get in so they at least know one way or the other?? Can you tell us what page of this you are up to in the screening process at least, I'd like to get moving on this if it is indeed a go.
