first off, wondering how that RGIII thing works out. steep price but if you hit 4-5 times in free agency and/or UDFA/remaining picks it might not be a problem even if he is not the messias.

but the rams might be in for the long haul guys. mark my words. dont have any special sympathy for them, but i seriously expect them to be a contender within 2-3 years with jeff fisher and a (despite a down year) above-average (imo) young QB.

the whole peyton manning thing might also change a few divisions. i seriously dont expect him to be awesome because of the time off and the whole thing with a new system/supporting cast.

But if you want to talk draft my sleeper pick this year is WR Brian Quick out of Appalachian State. I think he'll go mid third round but he's going to be pretty good

i think they are a legit team with a lot of young core players. but they have the issue that they play in a tough division.

its really tough to go above 8-8 or so when youre a not-awful team in a good division.

i was a huge fan. i didnt see his "big days" because i didnt have much to do with football being an european, but this play is the best i have ever seen live:

have two 81 pats jerseys and hopefully he goes to a contender and is back to his old form.

he will visit the 49ers on monday (had a good workout with the saints a week ago). could be a good fit if smith can throw that fly. if you played the 49ers this year, you worried about

1. frank gore

2. vernon davis

3.

4.

5.

6. WR corps

so he could really help pushing the safeties deep and open up something for davis and gore and not allow the defenses to buckle down on the short stuff.

the more I think about it the more impartial I am to it, he's not likely to win another Super Bowl no matter where he ends up but I guess it could be fun to have him for a couple years
 
Birds were one of the best teams over the last 4-5 weeks and just missed sneaking into the playoffs. A full offseason for the squad to gel and to actually implement the wide 9 on d and either drafting a MLB in the 1st (which they historically have never really done) or signing Tulloch, Fletcher, etc. should solve a lot of problems for them.

After franchising Jackson, I personally hope they fucking trade his dumb ass, Maclin is talented and could be a number 1 on many teams. I'd like the Eagles to pursue a big, physical WR to line up in the slot and give Vick another option underneath and over the middle. I expect to see Shady McCoy used more in the passing game in the form of screens and delays ala Faulk and Westbrook.

I never bought into the hype of all the FA signings or the "dream team" talk, but the Eagles will contend in NFC east, no doubt. Sort of exciting to see one of the historically great divisions rise again what with the talent on all of the rosters, not to mention the addition of a one Mr. RGIII.
 
I'm stoked to see RGIII going to Washington. My sleeper pick from last year was Leonard Hankerson. He only played 4 games last year but in two of them he had over 100 receiving yards. Can't wait to see what he'll be able to do with Griffin throwing the ball to him
 
Hoping to see the Ravens win the superbowl this year after coming pretty close to getting there year after year. If Flacco steps his shit up, this could definately be a possibility. Looks like its gonna be the last chance for Ray Lewis to win another Superbowl, which i would absolutely love to see
 
with the whole situation of lewis and reed, idk how many people/players/coaches in baltimore would like to see peyton manning there.

seriously wondering about that. flacco played good against the pats and obviously put the game winner right on lee evans' chest and stuff but consistency-wise, i am not sure if you get 3-4 consecutive, above-average playoff performances out of him.

obviously not too sure about manning right now, but despite the fact that their defense is not as old as everybody thinks, they will lose reed and lewis sooner or later and maybe flacco wont be able to deliver.
 
woah, woah, woah...it's not like trading Desean guarantees a return to the days of Fred Ex, Ole' Alligator Arms Pinkston, Greg Lewis, or I've never gotten separation from a DB ever James Thrash. Maclin and Avant are both better than either of the guys you mentioned, so I don't know that your comparison is fair. We also know that there are an abundance of FA WR's available this year. You honestly think the Birds and Jackson will come together and figure out a long term deal? I can't see it.

I hear what you're saying though, in that to essentially rent him this year in order to make a run is an option, but then what? Let him walk and get nothing at all in return? I'd rather try and replace his touches with a couple of guys—like using Shady in the passing game more, I disagree with you there and about the injury angle (much more likely to get banged up between the tackles than catching gimmes in the flats) and trade him for some value or possibly depth elsewhere, then to let him walk next year.

Hey, if they get a deal done and he's satisfied and gets his fucking head out of his ass, that's great, love to see it. There's no doubt that DJack is a top tier talent and about as dangerous in space as anyone in the league. But again, I have my doubts, and I'm also concerned to see what a big money long term contract does to his work ethic and general entitled attitude.

As far as LB, I'd actually rather the Birds draft either Kuechly or the kid out of Cal. Burfict is a headcase, a questionable motor guy who takes plays off that he doesn't think he's "in", he's slow, he's a poor run/pass recognizer. Burfict brings the wood, blows up plays, and is a human highlight reel, but I think he's a terrible fit in Philly. Since BDawk left, the Birds haven't had a defensive leader, and they could really use a character locker room guy, and a guy that can essentially qb the d. I see now that you said to draft in him in the 3rd or 4th so I guess if he's on the board still it'd be a value pick so I see what you're saying, but if they bring him in, I think you need to still target one of the other FAs you mentioned or possibly Fletcher. On the other hand, I think Kuechly could come in and be a leader from jump and has infinitely better instincts then Burfict, never mind the measurables both physically and mentally. The general consensus after the Combine was that Burfict was the WORST interview out 315 kids.

But, as you and I both know, we'll draft 76,000 d-linemen with glass bones and string cheese ligaments anyway, soooo......I wouldn't be shocked if they bring Mamula to camp...

you cant see it from the TV angle too well, but that was one of the things that blew me away when the reverse sideline shot came on replay.

 
Bengals going deep this year. A.J. Green about to be the next Calvin Johnson, and if we can get Trent Richardson in the draft shit is about to get scary.
 
yeah. he got burned. thats what makes this play even better. that was revis in that season where you would see his 5-8 completions before every game and he didnt allow a TD in idk how many games and all that stuff, people were talking about one of the best seasons a corner ever had. and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

 
idk how many other teams should be kicking themselves now. for example the pats. those two third rounders are definitely worth less (used the chart) than their 31# pick.

he is still young and they could need a big top-10 receiver, which he definitely is when at least a top-20 QB is throwing the ball to him.

congrats to the bears, i really expect that this trade will pay dividends.

also kind of stoked for moss to land with the niners. guess he didnt had tooo many other options which he liked or in general. or otherwise he would have checked out a few other teams. if smith can get the ball to him, watch out. vernon davis is a freak and they have a solid run game (remember when they took 2 O-linemen with their 2 first rounders a couple years ago?)

i am pretty sure that teams will not double him too much (especially with that run game) from the get-go and test if he will beat them. might be a good year for him and a good fit, also playing in a weak division where his team has a good to great chance of making the playoffs.

idk about the bucs, they play a tough division with the steady falcons, the saints and the uprising panthers. could become an even tougher division now, but i just dont see them being a contender right away.
 
larry fitzgerald is the man. i wanted his jersey when i bought my cards one but couldn't get his name so i got edgerrin james. i dont even think he plays anymore. he was a sick running back though early in his career, especially when he broke in with the colts.
 
happy for desean action jackson. he really did it all the in 2010 while earning like 500 k or so. last year wasnt good but he still had a legit amount of yards.

if he can keep his sprinter speed, it doesnt fucking matter that he has size issues.
 
i think they got back under by restructuring a bunch and realeasing a ton of people too but as much as i love hines ward he was not one of our best receivers anymore. plus i think there's a good chance we keep wallace
 
He's unreal. Hes unrealistically fast and finesse for how tall he is. During his press conference announcing his extension, He seemed really excited. He loves it in the D.
 
some team from 26 or so upwards has to get him if you need a WR. he is young and among his type of receivers definitely a top-3 guy.

 
so i was probably wrong on wallace. i guess the cost of his contract (def. 7-8+) coupled with the needed 1st rounder, maybe not too many teams are willing to sacrifice that.

there is still some legit talent out there. although i am pretty sure that teams are very well aware of who is still left and how cheap they are by now, i would like to see landry to eagles/pats, sims-walker or the other steve smith to the chargers and hawthorne or london and wimbley to the eagles.

i am also pretty sure that the chargers wont resign tolbert. sad to see him go, fun player to watch and just allround a good player. not awesome in one single aspect, but he will definitely offer a lot of value for a pass-first team with a depleted backfield.
