I always hate the assholes who start threads like this waaaaaaaay before ANY annual award can be givin out to the "best" hip hop album of the year..

+ OP your taste in rap sucks ass, I suggest you go branch out a bit further.

Haven't had the chance to listen to it yet but 1982 just put out a new album, should be good. Also "Trophies" Apollo Brown + OC and the DJ Premier + Bumpy Knuckles album had some good records on it. But way to early to say what is the best of the year, just a couple good ones so far.

Sorry for the dub post, but I also have high expectations for Life Is Good considering that I'm a huge Nas fan. Hopefully that will be the best of the year.

refer to the post right above yours, why would I contribute to a thread I don't give a fuck about yet? Maybe in 6 months you ass hat.

Who the fuck are all these rappers I have never heard of? regardless i am pumped for Aesop Rocks new album coming out this summer

no. there is plenty, for example:
biggie, tupac, dre, ice cube, and 50 cent. (obviously)
but some of the less obvious: das efx, gravediggaz, killah priest, kid cudi (when he freestyles its quite crazy actually), the game, nate dogg, public enemy, and the list goes on and on.
im sorry i dont like OF or eminem so you can just suck my balls

It's what I listen to man, name some better releases and I'll respect that you have good taste in music. I listen to everything from 2 Chainz to Elzhi and everything in between regarding hip hop

I don't consider any of that hipster rap besides Death Grips.

It sounds like you were taking my comment as hate. No hate. I'm a goat I love all. Just your comment was like "branch out from what I'm branched out so much" yet your list seems extremely similar.

haha whoops!

I forgot to put on Liquid Swords and OB4CL for this years best releases so far, Illmatic too.

Still have to listen to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and Careless World tho, they might make it (if that's what you're into)

I heard Immortal Technique has a dope album that came out this year, full of terrible flows/rhymes/beats that shove conpiracy theories down your throat.....10/10. My favorite song on it is called "Backpack (Skrillex Remix) ft. Jedi Mind Tricks, 75% of newschoolers, and Shad"

Or I could post my list so far because it's something to do and a good way to find/discuss music and respect other people's tastes and move on and get the fuck out of the thread if I don't want to.

Fucking MGK and Mac Miller got posted without getting flamed but Ab-Soul and Killer Mike are "Talentless"

I can't find a single similarity with anyone besides Ab-Soul & Schoolboy and Killer Mike & Big KRIT

hahahahahaha blow it out your ass. Clearly no one wants to talk about the BEST album of 2012 before we're even half way done with the year. Sorry but try again in 5 or 6 months. Sure I haven't listened to every album you posted, but I have listened to a few, and I'm not impressed in the least by the rest of the artists posted..

soooo... what do we do now?

Use that bad boy on our Ras Kass record and have a good ol' fashion ignorant non-boom-bap hatin' dust bowl and act like a shit ton of quality hip hop projects didn't get released in the 6 months we've had so far this year.

MGK is a fat boner. He can't rap for shit or dicks. If it was a battle between him and Yelawolf, they would both fuckin die cause they both eat shit, but MGK would die first and more painfully. You are a boner. MGK is a boner. Therefore, you are MGK. You would lose to Yelawolf. How does that make you feel?

Agreed with the OP in regards to Killer Mike and Big KRIT, those albums are dope! I'll have to check out the rest listed for sure.

Mr. "Real Hip Hop" and his backpack inspired me to finally download that Pharoahe Monch album and MA DOOM

They probably sold out on these albums tho, I only listen to this homeless dude down the street who raps over beats played out of a phonograph. So real and underground and shit

No, I'm making fun of you for being a self righteous douche bag to someone you've never met by mocking your post and taste of music that falls into my taste of music as well

dude have you listened to it? Like honestly i was so against anything of this sort like 2 weeks ago. It has at the very least surprised me, but then again he did ask for the best of the year, so i pretty much put down all the mixtapes and albums of the year that i even remotely enjoyed. Still all about the old school shit with me man dont worry, listening to 36 chambers right now.

to be fair he did ask for the best hip hop albums of the past 6 months, i think your standards are a little high.

thats half true though. i peeped some stuff from all those guys and the beats are sick in all of em but the flow is kinda jenk in like half of em.

ha righteous im fuckin around about Snow (even though Informer is probably the best rap single ever released). I just think MGK's flow is busted compared to like half the other stuff in his genre. like he puts his shit to half thug beats but his raps dont fit the music at all. IMO of course

I like Wild Boy for the Flocka feature and I liked Chip Off the Block when it came out but he annoys me so much

I can respect that, his older stuff is better. But i know what your saying about his flow, its kinda messed but its different. More than anything i just like his over-produced beats.
