Official Mammoth Thread

hello,

has anyone a free bad for me in mammth? i will come in mid april and stay till season closeing. so i search for a place to stay and for some shred dudes!

Hey I am going to be at Mammoth Feb. 14th and 15th probably the busiest weekend of the year, but it's all I can swing with being stuck in school in Illinois this year. I use to groom at Breck and we all got 8 half off tickets for friends or families which were hardly ever used because all people who lived close already had passes. I was wondering if Mammoth offers something similar to their employees and if anybody would be willing to trade for something like beer for discounted tickets
 
Yeah, for returners, Mammoth gives like 15 tickets to employees. Lots of the non-skiers that work there sell them for like 10-20$. No idea if they will work over Prez day though.. since they might possibly be blacked out, you might be SOL and have to drop some skrilla.
 
I'll be up there on the 8th and 9th for my 21st. Anyone know of any good places to drink some quality brew and eat some good food in the village?
 
The ticket vouchers I received from working on the mountain have no blackout dates, but I'm using them for my girlfriend when she comes up here... So unfortunately I can't give you any of mine. I'll ask around this week though. Technically it is illegal though to receive a payment in return for them though haha.

And Deadmoose, check out Underground Lounge and Lakanuki for good bar atmosphere. Laka usually kicks up later in the night, and sometimes gets really crankin. President's weekend should be no exception. Hit me up when you're here!
 
As far as spots go, Big Springs campground is awesome. But I'm not sure if it's open this time of year. As far as how long mammoth will be open idk usually it's until at least June. But this year the Sierras are at around 30-40% normal capacity...
 
Sorry mate no spring pass but there is a cheap college pass which is great. As far as closing I lived there for 18 years and they never closed before July 4th as far as I remember.

I'm gonna be up the 8th-15th if anyone is gonna be there. Also if anyone has been up recently how are all the parks? It's looking like they aren't getting any new snow so I'm sure that's mostly what I'll be skiing. Thanks
 
The mtn closes before July 4th all the time. Usually sometime in June. We will be lucky if we make it to memorial day this year.
 
when would you be up there? i might be able to grab some half off tickets but i would have to be there during the same time (i live in reno but go there often)
 
I guess I just never really paid too much attention when I was younger. I agree though, it's been REAL bad this year hopefully there are some late season storms in the works

Hey Gais, me and my brother are going probably going to Mammoth for 1-2 months. I checked in here to see if maybe anyone here have any spare beds/room? Floor is fine aswell! We dont give a shit about how you live, just not in the middle of nowhere since we obv wont bring a car all the way from sweden hehe

We are 24 and 26, really laidback and easy guys to live with.

We are both parkrats but wont turn down some powturns.

We dont mind getting smashed now and then, we will ofc pay for the whatever you can provide.

thanks for the heads up.I made a thread in regionals. I am in the westchester area but willing to drive and meet up somewhere. my car can't handle a five hour drive atm

I'm considering going to Mammoth late December and staying there until late Feb. Is Jan-Feb any good? Also, any ideas when it comes to cheap housing? I imagine that sharing a big apartment with a bunch of strangers could work.
