Official JOSS Video Release the 14th

At least now we have an official answer as to when the release date will be without all the speculation
 
ugh...now I wish I hadn't seen the first two...it"ll be 10 or 11 days until I see something new. Waaaaaaah.
 
Yea, I know. My understanding is that the vids will be released 2 days apart from each other in ascending order. Seeing as how I have seen the 7th and 6th place vids, I won't see the 5th place entry for another 4 or 5 days after the 14th. I wasn't really being serious, thus the waaaaaaah. I'm just pumped that we have a definitive date, but of course, I want the instant gratification of seeing them all now.
 
RIght, Im happy that this has at least been addressed. Until now, there hasnt been anything said as to when they actually would be here. Now we hear from Jon for sure
 
honestly i think this is so weak of jon. waiting more than 2 weeks since joss finished to show the public the videos is fucked up. there was so much hype during the comp, but its already falling off. sure people are still stoked to see the videos but its just fucking annoying as hell to wait so long!
 
sorry dude, i think you missed the boat, they were on-line for a few hours but the server got overloaded or bandwidth exceeded so they're no longer viewable. i wonder if that was an unwanted leak or a teaser?

According to nabbott's Twitter the video should be up in 24-48 hours depending on music rights and Jon and the same with the slide show.
 
I can't believe we have to wait that long. I thought we'd be able to watch them by like yesterday. And its extremely lame that we only get to watch 1 a day. In fact thats bullshit. Jon can do whatever he wants but why does he torture us like this?
 
if anyone does see a video that gets leaked early please save it and download it to your computer and rehost it if it gets taken down, i know i will.
 
JOsupper sessions is suppose to be like the funnest "comp" of the season, but jon is taking it all to seriously. he needs to lay back and have fun.

 
he is most likely doing it this way so that he can get hundreds or even thousands of hits every day for 12 days, rather than just a thousand hits all on the day the videos are released. By doing this he can show that his site gets more traffic more often which means that his sponsors will pay him more money to advertise on his website and on his video blog, which means he can have more money to invest which also means that when skiing is over for him he won't have to work.
 
is that necessarily a bad thing? i hope he never does have to work again, he has had such an incredible career already, it would be a shame for him to not be set for life

and i am super excited to see the vids, cant wait
 
ye i agree he s totaly right skiing needs some money.

and a super sick event like this needs a lot of founds.

I've gotta hand it to Jon. He has done a great job building suspense for the videos. I personally can't wait to see them. I'm surprised they don't just release all of the segments on a DVD to put on sale in the fall, or even now I guess.
 
it would also leave him more money to invest in future comps and all the other stufff he does for skiing
 
HI, just wanted to clear out why the vids are released on the way that they are, seems like a few people are not to stoked about it..
1. I am dead from working 24/7 with this all winter, I needed a few days to breath and rest.2. Music rights, to make sure that I dont get my ass sued we are trying to get all the documents needed from all the teams.3. Converting all the files, This does take some time.
And why we are releasing them with 2 day inteval is because that way we dont blow our server through the roof, last year freeskiers servers broke down because of the pressure created by all the vides being release on the same time, I want to avoid this.
Hope this gives you a etter understanding for the release schedule..
I can assure you that the vids are worth waiting for, all the teams did a great job!
Now I am going to sleep some more, still dead from the event!
