Official Golf Thread

I know a lot of people who ski in winter and golf in summer, so thought that this is a good idea.

I golf on varsity for my high school, in Manchester MA. I live right on a course so i can sneak out and play from time to time. I also caddy when I can't ski.

Might've been a better thread for summer NSG, but I'll bite. Played all through high school. Won districts a couple times but always managed to goof at State and never did better than 8th.

Freaking love golfing though. The other day it was like 65 degrees here in Utah Valley and the roommates and I were able to get out and play a round. It made me so itchy for summer.

I am the tiger woods of drunken mini-putt

by the way how fast do golf carts generally go and has anyone ever had a race? They seem fancy af

Not fast most of the time. Uncontrollably fast down hills. Almost hit a kid from a rival school while spotting a tournament.

I love golfing, I play quite often in the summer, 2-3 times a week if I can, I travel a bit though so I miss a few weeks here and there, but really excited to play.

People have raced everything that moves. Someone out there has probably dropped a Nissan Leaf drive-train into a golf cart to do massive golf cart burnouts, I would say a Tesla drive train but I'm not sure the prices for salvage units have come down low enough for golf cart swaps. Some guy did drop one into an '80s Honda Accord though see here:https://jalopnik.com/this-glorious-madman-stuffed-a-p85-tesla-drivetrain-int-1823461909

I do the same thing. I play for my high school in the summer and early fall and then ski in the winter works pretty well.

Forgot abt this thread but bump for summer. I’ve been playing 4-5 times a week and just got a new bettinardi putter. Getting ready for the HS season

I play 5 days a week. Ready to get back out on the course. Also have a 4-pw set of TM M4's if anyone is interested. Gaming TM p790's now.

the p790's are rocket ships. Ive found a job at a golf course and naturally absorb a lot of information about gear and stuff and those things are unreal. almost got the 2 iron p790.

Yeah, you are definitely right, man. Skiing and playing golf are my hobbies, and I really like it. Golf is a very interesting game, I enjoy every minute played in this game.

it really is. the mental side of it I've found has helped me become a better person by having more patience and self-discipline

Hey everyone. Not sure what anyone is up to or if they are even on NS anymore.

I studied Golf Management at college and am a couple months away from getting PGA Membership, with a career path in the golf industry, trying to become a head pro, or whatnot. The ski in the winter to golf in the summer pipeline is super strong.

Let me know if any of you guys have any questions about golf gear or swings or anything lol I thought of this thread the other day and now i feel much more qualified to give advise / talk about it. Kinda cool tho looking back I was in HS getting into the game when I first made this thread, and here I am about to graduate college and get to "work" being around the game.
