Just a thread to discuss colleges and all that sort of stuff and your plans.

I'm planning on applying early decision to University of Puget Sound or WWU if that doesn't work out...

do early action, it will benefit you in your application process

tru, my good friend applied to cornell last year as it was his dream school. He got wait listed, then got in later. But the program he needed to be in was full and the university told him if he had applied early action/decision he would have gotten in without being put on the waiting list.

probably applying to uvm, champlain, plymouth state, and umass amherst. psu and champlain i can easily get into, the other two are more of a reach

I've got a couple of friends at Umass, seems like a really cool school

Really liking boulder rn and not just because of skiing and Colorado but the people all seemed pretty great when I visited

Im applying to Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, and UVM. Hopefully I get into one of those, but if not there's always MSU and DU.

Starting applications this weekend to uw madison, uw stevens point, uw eau claire, and I might apply to some schools in florida. We will see.

Wow, I graduate college in 2017 and seeing this makes me sad

You feel old? I graduate this year.

Good luck to all college applicants. Hopefully the next four years of your life rock.

Looking into Miami of Ohio, not shit for skiing but the campus/college are immaculate. Also looking into Northern Michigan, Hope College, U of Colorado, U of Utah, and Montana State.

Applying early decision to Carleton and if I don't get in im applying to a bunch of other small private liberal arts schools. Haaaaan

EWWW Carls! Ole Pride, OLE PRIDE!

But actually, you will love Carleton if you are accepted, both St. Olaf and Carleton are amazing. I'm a Sophomore at Olaf so if you have any questions about town or anything else, feel free to pm me.

ED deadlines coming up if they haven't already. What's everyone's plan? How did people do on the SAT this time around?

Got my application for UVM sent in yesterday! That was the only college that had a nov. 1st early action deadline for me, will be sending off applications to UNH, Keene, castleton and middlebury soon

Denver is number 1 and Cornell number 2 both for hospitality. Anyone else looking at these?

I'm from Colorado and I have a couple friends who went to DU. They really like it there. Plus I stayed several long weekends there for lacrosse camps throughout high school and I thought campus was quite nice. As a school geared more towards liberal arts they just didn't offer what I was looking for in a major (engineering). But I go to Cornell, so obviously it's #1 on my list ;) I assume by "hospitality" you mean like the hotel school here?

Applying to UVM - Top Choice but otherwise Montana State or OSU Cascades which has a brand new campus in Bend OR and is 30 mins away from mt. Bachelor

Pffffff....children. I graduated colleeg in 08. I literally could have gotten another two degrees in the time that has lapsed since I graduated and OP is graduating high school.

...instead I played videogames.

If you guys love skiing, definealty consider Sierra Nevada College. Ski team is mad fun, and The school hands out A LOT of scholarship from what Ive heard. I graduated high school last year, so I have so helpful tips:

1.) do the application process ASAP

2.) dont worry things will work out

3.) DO THE APPLICATION PROCESS ASAP

4.)try to visit as many school as possible to see what you like compared to what you dont like

I'd probably kill myself if I had to go to any of those schools (with the exception of CU).

I live pretty much right next to UMass! This area is super nice, Amherst and the surrounding towns are all pretty dope. Not superr close to any skiing, Mount Snow is about an hour and 20 minutes away, small little place called berkshire east is about 45 minutes away, they have night skiing though which is cool. I'm not considering it just cause its too close to home, I wanna get away

I'm from Vic, so anyone looking into UVic give me a shout. Can help show you guys around. Grading this year taking a year off however. But I'll be around our town needs more of a ski community.
