usually in this situation i would be absoultely pissed, but for some reason i find myself somewhat calm... very strange.
probably because the score doesn't really represent the game that just happened. Once again Vancouver starts out strong and has a really good first period, Thomas played well and Vancouver comes out 1 goal down. Then once again another awful 2nd period defensively and they are out of the game. The Canucks did not get outplayed, just some bad defensive breakdowns and a few lucky bounces for Boston.
1st goal - Edler mis-timed his play and Torres backed him up horribly, Salo also out of position.
2nd goal - Salo gave him way to much time, then he has to either get in the shooting lane or get out of it, not just put his stick there.
3rd goal - Ballard makes a bad play behind the net then gets tied up with Sedin and the puck finds its way to the front of the net where Luongo really has no chance
4th goal - just pure luck
People are gonna hate on Luongo for last game and tonights but he really couldn't do too much. Im really debating about who i want to see in net next game. I love Schneids to death, always looks so calm and composed out there but Luongo has shown he can play, gonna be a tough call.
Its really obvious though how much we miss Hamhuis, really just screws up our defensive pairings. I'd like to see Ballard out and Tanev in. Ballard just has not impressed, looked sloppy all night.
Someone though has to step in the Vancouver locker-room and just rip this team, they haven't been playing their game at all, gotta start by getting their legs again, start skating and use their speed and get some fucking traffic in front of Thomas, life is way too easy for him right now.
Also have to get the PP going, has looked horendous this series, just go back to the basics, get it to the point with traffic in front and shoot the puck and get those 2nd and 3rd chances.
Anyways, Vancouver has go to step up and use the home-ice. Its now a best of 3 and we got 2 games at home. Still a long way to go in this series.
