Off piste skier moving into the park

Hey NS. I am looking for some help. I've been z bump skier, trees and side county skier most my life. Never really grew up in the park . I enjoy modest sized airs, ( 20') , flat box, rainbow boxes . Never been on a rail.

On my western trips ( 2-3 trips a season) I ski trees and bowls nonstop on my 2012 k2 obSETHed . My home ski for the Midwest is an 05' volkl karma. Traditional camber , mounted with look pivot recommendedount ( I think it's -7cm from center)

This season I'd like to learn rails and some trickery. Anyone familiar with my volkl karmas ?

Should I remount to a center mount or close to it? Will it help my balance a lot on rails ? I've been Slack lining for the lady month working on balance and strength for this seasons interest .

About me : I'm 6'3" 210 lbs.

39 yrs . Athletic. Very strong and fit . Aggressive and powerful skier . The last 2 years been working on my switch skiing on local groomers.

So... Should I remount to learn rails, or not that big of deal ?

The main reasons park skiers mount center or close to center are:

a) Riding forward and switch are easier

b) Spinning is balanced

c) Makes playing on rails a bit simpler

It's up to you. It will probably help to mount them close to center. I'd probably do -2 if I were you, as to keep some of the all mountain functionality.
