Anyone have any compulsive disorders? Even if they are just small ones that dont efect your day to day life. I sems to count edges on shapes. ie, a square like a computer monitor has 4 edges
If im walking along and have nothing to occupy my mind, it splits the ground, like the footpath and stuff into seperate surfaces like sand is a few thousand per step and concrete is 1 surface, divided up by cracks etc...
And without noticing I try to not step on each surface more than twice, its really fucked up. But it's going away, I think it might be a game I played when I was small and stuck...
i count everything off into four, like when i walk up a 14-set of stairs, i have to take two steps early and then count if off so i can make 16 (4X4)
and i have to eat with equal food and chews on both sides of my mouth. like if someone gives me like a skittle, i have to have two to balance out my mouth or i bite that one perfectly in half
i used to do that when i was younger but i stopped it, i also had to have have shit be equal on both sides like if my right hand got wet so did my left.
I think drugs can bring on a Compulsive disorder. I never used ot have them till I started smoking pot and it never went away after i stoped. I dont have any evidsence to prove this but other people I know who have them smoke pot also.
yeah when ever i take off shoes or nething from my feet the left one has to be on the right and vise versa and i count tooth brush strokes stairs and pretty much everything else
and when i order things they have to be from bigest to smallest left to rite
I count tiles, like our school has patterns of blue tiles down a few hallways, and i count them everytime i go by them.. even though i already know how many are there. I usually count whatevers in front of me. ie. # of folds in curtains.. stuff like that.
i flick light switches on and off until it feels "just right", i smell my hands, flare my nose, bug my eyes, always have to have the same skis on the same feet, cant think of any more right now
when i was in middle schools i had to count the cealing pannels by two, and i wouldnt leave class till i finished. even if class ended sometimes id stay for like 4-5 minutes extra to finish, and if the pannels ended in an odd number i would have to start over counting by one
oh yea on like tiled floors n shit i always try to step right inside the tile i never step on half a tile or in the cracks...always in the middle. ill take an obvious ridiculous step if i have to
Ummm I have to check the clock at least once a minute, every minute, but only when I think about it. Which is most of the time. You could say I'm obsessed with the passing of time I suppose.
yeah everyone has their stuff, if it doesnt bother you and helps you get through the day dont worry about it. you dont have to listen to what a doctor tells you, most of the time they just want to charge you for meds.
i had way to many things for a while and if you just stop yourself from doing the ones that bother YOU then youre fine.
