We are in the worst economic crisis since the great depression and this motherfucker decides to take a fucking vacation. Its August and he has already passed the amount of vacation time Bush took in one year. Guys a fucking joke, as well as his mindless hypocritical peons.
 
I am going on vacation in the economic crisis. and getting paid while on it. actually meeting with obama and playing 18 holes of golf.

2. I was not comparing total term length, I was saying for 1 year.
3. The state of the economy isn't in nearly as bad shape as it was when bush was in his first 2 years.

when bush went on vacation it was either to his ranch in crawford, texas or camp david. im pretty sure he wasn't actually on a vacation. more like a white house away from the white house.

plus i think the issue here is the ill timing of Obamas vacation, not the vacation itself. hes out enjoying marthas vinyard while the economy is bouncing up and down 400 basis points every day on the dow and unemployment is skyrocketing.

He hasn't taken nearly as much vaca as Bush. And what is he supposed to accomplish when Congress is gone FOR A FUCKING MONTH! Don't worry, the Tea Party will magically save us.
 
and how do you know obama isn't doing the same thing? bush went there 3 times more than the current president's vacation days and a little thing about being president is that everything has to be scheduled way in advance and with a job that's so high pressure and stressful, to any president, days off to spend time with your family is more helpful. congress has been at recess for the WHOLE month so what exactly is the president going to accomplish by not taking a week off? it's absurd how unrealistic everyone's expectations are given the current condition of extremely stupid bipartisanship and a stock market that's based on SPECULATIONS and not how well companies are actually doing.
 
news flash: every august since 1970, all of congress goes on vacation. enjoy that tidbit.

well dinner roll... i personally feel he should sack up and call congress back from recess (which he has the power to do) so they can begin fixing shit.. since you know.. it kinda is there job and all being elected reps of citizens of our great nation.. congress needs to step the fuck up and stop acting like dickheads, it goes for both sides. but yeah, if obama could grow a pair and call them to come back (might show some power and leadership which he seems to be lacking now) i think that would be a better choice then go on vaca. dont get me wrong.. he deserves vaca, just maybe not right now.

and yes i completely agree with you, the stock market is so much more psychological than actually based on data and quarterly reports, which is why if the traders see a confident government, it will give them the confidence to have faith that things are back on track and for the economy to begin doing better.
 
I don't understand how the bad economy has anything to do with what the president is doing. The president can't just pay people higher wages, the president can't eliminate un employment, the president can't lower the prices of goods while making profits rise. The president can't control these things and him spending his own money for a vacation isnt hurting the economy in anyway, you could argue if he takes a vacation in the states, he's actually putting money into the economy.
 
REally? Because he promised all those things pre election..along with closing gitmo, ending the wars in his first term and many other things that havent happened.
 
Who cares, the man works really fucking hard and has done a decent job so far,so he can def go on vacation for a few days, especially in Martha's Vineyard

Um you do realize that the president cant snap his fingers and everything he wants to do will happen. Sure he could call congress back, but face it they are to fucking busy blaming each other to get anything done
 
When you base your campaign strategy on "change" and fixing all the horrible problems Bush caused, its a good idea to at least keep levels the same, not drastically increase them. He has done nothing significant in office, and in general is an awful leader and just a pussy in general.
