Oakley Splice lens question

Hi NS,

I have a huge nose so I'm replacing my Crowbars with Splices. I'm going to get two lenses and need help deciding what those should be.

I live in Finland which is way up north. This means that in December-January the sun is up for like three to four hours, so it's very dark. Obviously I need a low light lens. I have the HI yellow on my Crowbars and I've liked it, so I think I'm going to go with that one. Any other suggestions?

In March and April we are starting to get more sun. I need a different lens for those spring days. I'm not quite sure which lens I have on my Crowbars. It's like persimmon but mirrored. When looking through it, it gives a very slight orange/brown tint. This lens is alright for bright days but I don't really like the looks, so I'm thinking of getting something else. How's the Fire Iridium? What about the Dark Grey? Is it similar to Grey Polarized (without the polarized part naturally). My friend has the Grey Polarized lens. I really liked it, but it might be too expensive for me. Any other lens suggestions for medium to bright conditions?

i have the emerald iridium on my splices and its awesome in every light condition ive been in so far. it might not be the best lens if you already are getting a good low light tho.

anything with a iridium coating would be good (with pink and emerald being the possible exceptions). as would the dark grey if that suits your budget better.

i myself have a splice for a year now, i have the HI yellow for low light and indoor skiing, and i love it! and i have the black iridium for allround use, it's an excellent lense, really, but it doesn't look very cool, i think the grey polarized lense is gonna be equally rad and even better looking ....
however the black iridium performed really well, even in low light, it was a bit dark but still provided enough contrast....

I think the Black Iridium might be what I have now on my Crowbars. Does it fit the description in my first post?

yeah, it's basically a black lense but with sun shining through it's like brownish and you can see through (from oustside in) so not very "gangsta" but a very good lense none the less !
i think dark grey is gonna be perfect for you :)
anything really mirrored is probably gonna be too dark for you ...

the pink iridium is another great low light lens, it almost seems clear at night. and it does alright in bright light. you should definitely look in to that for your low light lens.

Get H.I. Persimmon for low light. Most under rated lens Oakley has. So much better than pink iridium and H.I. yellow. I would say black iridium or fire for bright.

What makes the HI Persimmon better than HI Yellow?

Also does anyone have the Dark Grey lens? I would really appreciate if you could write a small review.

Damn I wish we had an edit function... One thing that I'm suspicious of about the Dark Grey lens is the price. Why is it so cheap?

Bumpity bump.

I'm pretty set on getting the Dark Grey for sunny conditions. For medium/dark I'm getting either the HI Persimmon or Pink Iridium. Is the HI Persimmon manageable in any other than dark conditions? I know the HI Yellow isn't.

What do you think about this lens setup?

Dude if you can find a pair of clear ruby iridiums jump on it. So rare but they are just a slightly clearer pink
