Oakley Mod1 Pro Helmet

Been looking at getting a new helmet and I've seen a lot of skiers using the Oakley Mod1 Pro helmet. Just got one and wondering what other people think of them. Is it nice for goggle under and just in general what do you think.

I got a xl and it fits nice and it's comfortable with or without goggles under and it works well with a hat under. The BOA system is also real nice. I also think it's a nice looking helmet.

As long as the goggle strap can fit under. That’s all that really matters in a helmet anyways

It's a good value helmet if ur the kind of person who leaves the liners and ear covers. Nothing crazy special otherwise

What do people have against it? It's just a helmet

It’s the internet man, who the hell knows ? ?

only sound advice I can offer on helmets via internet is try a couple on before u buy one.

It just arrived the other day and it feels great. Maybe people don't like the normal mod1 because the earpieces aren't removal but if you get the mod1 pro the earpieces are removable so that's the one I got

Just a heads up, there's no reason to get the pro over the standard one if you're doing goggles under. The only real upgrade is the liner, which it seems you'll be taking out.

I like the light weight and toxic loud color of my standard model but I kind of regret getting it tbh. The standard liner isn't audio compatible, and according to the VT study, the helmet sucks ass at being a helmet ?

I have the mod 1 pro and absolutely love it! The interface between the goggle and helmet is absolutely flawless. I’ve run the giro/Oakley combo for a long time a decided to give this a try and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Completely disregard this actually. I checked out the Pro in a store and it's a completely different helmet lmao. It's much heavier, and feels more substantial, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's safer. The liner still isn't audio compatible which kinda fucking sucks

I've been using it and it's my favorite helmet I've used. When your skiing you don't even notice the slight weight difference. The BOA tightening system on it is so nice

The standard model has the Boa laces too! It's certainly beneficial, but it's not exactly like a night and day difference in fit over the standard ratcheting thingy.

I'm sure the Pro is the better helmet; like 80 percent of the skiiers at Laax were wearing it lmao
