Ok NS, I need your opinion on this one. For the danny kass pro model canopy goggle, should I go with the fire iridium lens, or the black iriduim. It would be with the smith holt helmet and saga thoureau insulated hooded flannel and a black face mask thing.

Never skied black iridium so not to sure about those...but I have the fire lense you mentioned. Great for sunny / partly cloudy days when its bright out. In flatter light and snowy days they aren't great lenses.

black iridium. I have like 3 pairs of canopys and 2 of them have black iridium lenses.(i have an obsession with goggles) Look good and visibility through the lense is pretty good.

I feel like black iridium is a new thing, I grew up always wanting fire iridium crowbars and all the good pros used to wear um. Today we see more big lens style with the dark lens color. The black iridium is to damn dark, if you ski anywhere near the NW you would never want that because it multiplies the flat light affect by 10, its so terrible. I suggest fire iridium over the other.

I live in the north east and primarily night ski. I'm not worried about visibility as much because we have blower powder days once in a blue moon.

Don't get either. Get a prism lens those things are incredible and you will not ski any other lense after. They make a black iridium prism but unless you mainly get bluebird days you will be better with the green or pink prism as they are even more versatile.

Get the Jade Iridium Prizm lens...the prizm lenses have a much larger range of light (hence why there is only 3 of them). jade is the middle one, probably best for you with the mostly night and overcast skiing, but still able to handle sun.

Ok guys It's between these 2 lenses. I don't care about if i can see the ass crack of the guy 3/4 mile away down the trail or not. I just want to know which one (this may sound gay) from a "style" perspective. And Seward, rainbow bronie unicorn skier boxers

Then you fucking decide yourself jackass. Style is subjective. Optic quality is not, so get you're shit thread out of gear talk.

The last 3 threads i have read you have taken the words right out of my mouth. Just got i/o7s before the prizm lens came out.

If you look at Oakleys comparison chart, Fire Iridium is a much darker lense than black. Black irridum transmits 18% of the light, Fire only transmits 10%

You should pick you r lense based on the conditions, not the color of your jacket.
