O2gearshop.com?

How reliable is o2gearshop.com? I have heard it is hit or miss. I have also heard they sometimes they sell stuff online they don't even have in stock. They have a really sick deal on K2 Recoils and since all the other legit websites like Evo or Backcountry don't have my size in stock, I'm pretty sketched out.

It's easy to parrot that like some fucking muppet, but what if his local shop does not carry what he is looking for?

i dont know too many shops that dont carry k2. if they dont have it in stock, they can order it. we do it all the time.

k2 stopped making recoils and remade them as the iron maiden. o2 gear shop finally answered my call and shipped my skis today. hopefully they arent ratched as fuck.

i dont know about other peoples experiences but i bought my k2 domains from there and they came pretty quickly, in good packaging and were flawless, my advice : Go for it!

Sooo, i have bought a few things form there...I got a great deal on atomic blogs and squires BUT they had sold out/were in the middle of moving so they had to order new skis from atomic, because of this they were about 3 weeks late. Throughout the entire process the customer service was good and they were very helpful. When I got the skis they also gave me a 20$ off giftcard because I had to wait, I used this to help buy goggles and these came on time, so yes they are hit and miss but they are great if you can afford to wait

Purchased from O2gearshop a few times, hit/miss is a good way to put it. Great deals, but I did have to wait 2 months for an item that was not in stock despite the website saying it was in stock and ready to ship; and was drop-shipped from the manufacturer...supposedly. Turns out they forgot to ship it and didn't find out until I inquired about my order. One purchase was canceled by O2gearshop because they didn't have any of the product left that was listed as "in stock" on their website.

I would probably contact them via phone or email to verify the "in stock" status of the item prior to purchasing.

If that's what they told you then it only goes to show that you're taking quite a risk buying from them. K2 absolutely still makes the recoil. The iron maiden is built off the same molds as the recoil, yes, just a different paint job. This is why I say support your shop. They will know the ins and outs so you don't have to deal with the idiots of online retail

This is only true if you have a good local ski shop. We have a local ski shop: it is insane expensive, they have a ton of last year's model skis that they are selling at the same price as the current model, the sales people are rude, other than heat molding a liner they don't know how to fit a boot, the service shop puts up a huge fight every time I want something center mounted...

...and one time, a salesperson was helping me with some L1 outerwear: this particular model jacket was really long, I asked if they had something shorter in the same material. She said, "No, long is good, so you won't be cold when you're sitting in the snow doing your bindings." I said, "actually, I'm a skier." She said "oh..." and walked away and no one helped me for the rest of the day.

...so I buy online mostly...

that site told me they shipped my item but it was actually backordered and took over 3 weeks to get to me. just my experience

The people at my local shop are dicks. I would love to buy my stuff locally so then i wouldnt have to deal with online retailers, but the people at my local shop charge insane prices on the 4 or 5 "lower end" twin tips they have. Plus they keep trying to sell me snowboards because thats what they have more of anyway. +K to everyone who commented

Got my skis! most sketchy part is that they delete all their bad reviews and bad comments on their facebook page and have hideous customer service. I would call the shop before ordering anything from them.
