So yeah it's called Youtube.Music and i got the idea from hypem.com
Im working on a way to download the mp3 of the song you are playing!!!
This is my first public website and i need feedback NOW!

And everything is dynamic so you can change page and use the back button and the music wont stop!!!!

Dude mad props! I'm gonna tell all my friends. Your shit is gonna blow up! oh and a word of advice throw some google adsense on the side = money
10/10 K
from one programmer to another

Thanks im really happy you like it!
This weekend i will add a volume slider and a mp3 download button because right now im busy with school project
and im not hot about the idea of putting ads in there, because i think the whole idea behind it is that you dont have to listen to youtube crappy ads, just the music!
if you want to support me and the website, please share it with your friends!!!!
Also, im currently looking for a internship as a web programmer in the Montréal area (if you have ny contact)!!!!!

I can't tell at all with only laptop speakers, but is there any loss in sound quality? (not that youtube is anything better than shit in the first place)

This looks really good man. I think adding queue functionality would make it even better. Like a playlist that you can load up so you can load a few tracks then just let it play.
Also out of curiosity, is this all xml / Java?

Thanks man! I already have plans to make a queue functionality so you can make you own playlist / mix
Maybe in a few weeks when im less busy
And no, this is primarily Javascript (jQuery framework) for front-end and PHP for back-end, and JSON instead of XML to get data from Youtube

this is so sick, good job man.

things that would be sick

the download button

playlists

i know you're probably going to put ads and shit but it would be legit if you did not and kept it clean.

The way I builded it is that the client (you) communicate directly to youtube servers via JSONP request
so basically my godaddy server send you the page, and that it, it doesnt act as a middle man, so i dont get a lot of server traffic !!!! :D
I dont need huge server to run this site, it only cost me 5$ per month for now
I already make 20$+ per month with one of my youtube video so it basically doesnt cost me anything

truth. and ads arent bad, as long as they dont interupt my music playing and what not. like the two adds that i am looking at right now on ns, no biggie.

I also would be interested to know what kind of traffic you are getting now, vs. in a week and a month.
And i didnt mean ads on and before the songs just like a banner or google search ad on the side. wouldn't affect anything and woule bring in revenue for you.
sit, let people enjoy music, profit, win

Personally, I don't mind little banner ads (like the ones on ns) but I hate invasive ads like pop ups, any ad with audio, and those damn things that slide across the page and stop in the middle. Add a google advertisement thing on the side/bottom to make a little extra dough.

I know you say it's streaming from youtube directly, and this may be a long shot, but the HD versions of songs ( if available ) are of much higher quality than their basic stream.

Maybe an option to select what your internet is like so it'll play the video in a higher resoulition ie) better sound quality?

Just a thought, good site though man!

Thats a good idea. Have a global quality selector. You could just have a script add it to the embed code before it loads.

^^I think high quality can be defined in the embed code, but not certain. Anyway, then you could have it automatically load the best possible quality. You could also have an auto select option based on connection speed like what hulu does.

Sick

I know almost nothing about coding and websites besides boldening things, but was this really hard to make?

this is really sick. 10/10 for sure.

for feedback, i think ads that aren't disruptive are fine. hd quality would be awesome. DL button would be the best, ect.

anyone wanna teach me how to program?haha
