I agree man. People get so worked up about simple shit and miss the forest for the trees but we see the same stuff in other sports too. Doesn’t make it right though.
It really hits home when I’m trying a trick and scared and getting wrecked and then I think of an edit I saw and someone doing my trick with way more tech and difficulty. These athletes are crazy talented

I’m totally down for having an opinion. There are dozens of skiers I’d rather watch than the podium last night. I’d rather support those athletes than tear down the ones who have dedicated their careers to skiing at an incredible level

Fair point but nah ima keep giving my opinion on professionals skiing. It’s one thing to talk complete shit about them if they don’t deserve it but giving your opinion on a professional athlete there’s nothing wrong with.
Edit: there’s also too many good skiers in existences to give each and everyone love. Each and every has a following and a group that won’t follow them. People are different. Opinions vary. Can’t praise everyone actively.

listen listen ladies I did shitpost and the Showdown thread thread was up .2 seconds after it ended so it was very impulsive. I didn't take time to separate my feelings towards some aspects I really didn't fuck w to think of the full picture of the event. It is one of the most beneficial comps in skiing for sure as far as comps go. Tucker did more tech tricks than Owen and deserved the podium, but you can't blame a dude for wanting an "AM" kid to podium over a line skis athlete. the Cal Carson point I made I stand behind, that dude works just as hard as the rest of the field and dedicates his time to some of the most high risk skiing possible. For that I feel he deserved to be approached better. And as for the karsteter thing i think its insane that people aren't allowed to have an opinion on someone just because that person can ski better than them. People fuck w him, totally fine im not gonna shit on u for liking a certain skier. Its just mental to me that people can shit on someone else for NOT liking him. Ill never ever be able to 2p 8, and do I wish I could? FUCK ya it would be dope. His skillset is fucking mental, but I wish it was more than just spins in or out. Obviously that's my opinion and it means jack shit in the grand scheme of things but I never meant for people to devour that and overshadow that I still recognize how damn good he is.
