NS, where should I go to college?

Well NS I come to you for guidance yet again. Soon I have to decide where I'm going to be for the next four years and I'm pretty torn as to where to go. As a little background I am currently undecided as my major, but lean towards math and science, I'm a musician, and of course a skier. The options have been narrowed down to these 3 schools: Middlebury College, University of Michigan, and UNC Chapel hill. They're all good option but have distinct pros and cons. Middlebury has the best skiing by far and is probably the most prestigeous but is also the smallest and most tame, also having less academic options in general. UofM is the biggest, and has an awesome sports culture and runs in my family, and probably has the most academic options, but is probably the least academically prestigeous and the skiing isn't great. Finally UNV which is probably middle in terms of academics, still has the sports culture, but no skiing. This thread may or may not be the result of me being bored in a long car ride and excited over the poll feature...but GO!

Seems like a relatively easy choice. Middlebury has the best academics/reputation and the best skiing. Why not just go there? If you're really concerned that the part scene isn't wild enough for you, perhaps you don't have your priorities right. Of course, if it is the size in and of itself and not just the implications that it has for the part scene that you are concerned about, that's a different issue that only you can work out for yourself.

As someone who went to one of NESCAC's, I can say that the small size can be frustrating. Mostly because the small size and high tuition cost mean there will inevitably be a the lack of diversity, the result of which is that it can sometimes feel like you meet the exact same person over and over again.
