Ok, so I've been looking into cars for my first car and just can't decide on what to get. I've mainly been looking at the Audi A4, A6, A8, etc. I want a car that is sporty, or just nice in general. I can pay for the repairs so foreign cars are ok to suggest. My budget it about $10,000-$15,000. I just can never think of something when I need to think of it, so let me know what you think! Again what I would like is:Sporty

Luxury

Good in winter

Something that would look good moded (blacked out)

Fast would be nice too

Oh and any year is good, doesn't have to be new obviously.

Let me know! Thanks!

Check out insurance prices. I would assume they would be really high for an Audi beings you're a teenage boy and its your first car.

audi allroadluxury wagon based on a6 platform with offroad capability and lifted suspension

and you can do some sweet mods to this

get the twin turbo 2.7L v6

or 4.2 v8

extremely rare in man 6 speed(buy if you find one)

Thanks so far! I have looked at some of the Audi All-road wagon. Also have looked into Volvo. Plus another thing I would really like is it to be manual transmission! I know I can find most of these cars in manual, but yeah just saying!

they didn't make volvo in man trans in the USA, only in 'europe. I would watch out for volvo's because alot of them, the trannies go out.

the 6 speed allroads are sick though, just go for that if you have all that money to spend

Get a clean 05 subaru wrx. mine is obv. modded, i got cobb stage 2 with upgraded intake and exhaust. its so nice and its quick too. add awd making it awesome in all conditions. its sporty but 4 doors so has good room. the trunk is big too. pm for pics.

mazda3speed turbo, or mazda 6 3.7 liter six is fast as helli have the 2.5L 4 and have easily would it up to 120 and could go much faster

You should probably get an El Camino. I heard they're fantastic in the snow. They also are really good on gas, and are the best looking cars.

isnt the allroad air suspension horribly unreliable and a drain on money? i was looking at one earlier but reading more about them i decided to stay away

It spins in circles and then flips on its side? Doesn't sound like the most reliable or safe vehicle to drive, IMO.

I got a 2003 3.0L a4 with 74k miles for $8,300 three years ago. Mechanically it has been perfect, electrically it has had some problems. Cylinder misfires and coil pack replacements happen all too often. Other than that it is a beast in the snow, has decent power and gas mileage, looks good, has a nice interior, and has a ton of cargo space for a sedan. If you do end up getting an older Audi, make sure you get one with a good history, new timing belt, new water cooler, and you will be good to go.

count me in for the allroad vote:

get a 2.7T (only motor on the allroad with a Manual trans), swap air suspension for coils if you don't want to worry about the airbag issues, swap in some Ko4(RS6 versions) with other goodies...have a badass sleeper grocery getter/ski mobile/ lady killer.

if it wasn't for the miles I drive a month I would pick up an allroad myself but am looking for something a bit better on gas so i'm hunting for a b7a4, but might end up getting an allroad because they are awesome.

what it could be

if you have that much money to spend, get two cars. Get a nissan 240sx for drifting and shenanigans, becuase they're cheap and look dope as fuck stanced.

Also, get some sort of awd wagon, either volvo or audi. Merk it. Slam it, and stance it. And then you're set.

get a 2010 impreza wrx wagon

fun to drive, you'll probably have to do the head gasket at some point (around 100,000) but besides that theyre pretty cheap and easy to work on, and they look dope

this one in particular is an STI so a little out of your price range, but the regular WRX is right in there pricewise

that is actually by far the worst advice in the thread so far. paying 2x as much for registration and insurance on 2 crappy cars compared to 1 reliable car is such a good idea.

ive got a 2001 allroad 2.7L. its so fucking fun. You can never go wrong with a wagon, and you can never go wrong with audi. that being said i would have also really liked a volvo XC, my friend has one and its real comfortable and good looking.

get an audi a5 its what i got and its so sick in the winter,

all wheel drive and i got mine in manual so that also helps a lot for winter

insurance isnt very bad i dont think and im a teenager

I am in a similar situation and need help too! I had a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT that my parents bought me for my first car.. then just last week my dad got a new car and since the insurance would be lower, I got his old one. Well, his old one happened to be a 2007 Buick La Crosse, which is an old person's car. I also have to pay for anything that happens to it so like broken anything. It has 317,000 miles....

I want to trade it in or sell it and then buy a new one..

what should i get?

I am looking in the range of 2,000-5,000.. used. I want it to be reliable, good in winter/snow, fast would be nice and a lot of room in trunk.

I found a 2000 Subaru Impreza with 76,xxx miles on it for 3299.

Also i found a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 137,000 miles on it for $2500

Get the TDI Jetta or Passat, wagon if you can. Maybe even the new golf. They get kick ass gas mileage, crush snow (with the right tires) and look dank with money.

I had a 07 WRX wagon for about a year, have an 08 Tundra right now. The new Passat Sportswagen or Jetta sedan is on the radar for the next car.

hahaha NS never seems to disappoint with there moronic comments. A fucking a5 for 10-15 thousand? Its a 50,000 dollar car any a5 you get unless its from someone you know is going to have a shit load of miles on it and be a fucking unreliable terrible car. Lets be real, uless your buying from a family friend, etc, there is NO way in hell you can get a decent reliable car for 10-15k. Who cares what car you drive buy something for 2 grand and save the money.
