Yes you heard it here! We don't have full details for release yet, but there is going to be a massive gathering of NS members at Echo Mountain in CO on January 13/14. Saturday will be a Slopestyle contest, and Sunday will be a hostile takeover Jam!

For those who attended the hostile takeover at Val St-Come last April know how much fun it was, so if you didn't get the chance you better get your ass out there.

Now get your shit together and come out to Echo!

 
I'm part of the boulder freeride and they had a bunch of coupons for a 10 dollar lift ticket that was only during one week, I wanted to go so bad but it was a week or two before finals so I had to go to class or fail :(

Too bad I suck at park on skis, I might go with my board though
 
What's an hostile takeover?

It sounds like a bunch of newschoolers taking over the mountain...sounds like a lot of fun!

 
those of you who haven't been to echo you really should go, its an amazing place. My bro worked on the marketing last year and helped start the place up, and it is such a fun place, great atmosphere, great people, fun features

I think its really cool that they giving US OPEN spots to kids who are willing to throw down to get there, instead of just sitting at a computer.

Saturday is a slopestyle with 3 qualifying spots to the open.

Sunday is the "Hostile takeover" in which I'll be skiing around with $1,000 in $20 bills and a megaphone... I will give money for whatever reason I so feel.

Going to be a blast...

Echo is working on ticket/lodging/contest packages for us... we'll have more details soon!

Yeah we did it up at Val-St. Come in Quebec. It was part of the D-jam!

Hell we sold out the whole hotel apparently... it was an amazing time.

 
Where are people going to stay at? I prob would sleep in the back of my truck just because its cheap if its not to cold, unless you can get a good deal on a good hotel. :)
 
There's a holiday inn that we're trying to work out accomidation packages with... I'll let you guys know as soon as we find out how much its going to be.

I think its pretty reasonably priced though... I'll be staying there so you can come party with me.

 
You should have something in the east in the states. You wouldn't even have to hand out money, but something where a bunch of kids from all over the east could get together and throw down together, and then take it to the streets, and have an urban assault on some city.
 
If anyone wants to ride with me from the Montana area or south of there on the way to Colorado, PM me, perhaps we could work out something and I could pick you up or we meet up. I sorta have limited space, but I do have a truck and a couple peeps could pile in the back, I have a nice topper that is out of the wind. lol.

I feel like I really should go to this, I mean you dont get that many chances in life to meet up with a bunch of awesome peeps and jib all weekend at a sick park.

you should have a road trip from east to west stopping at major resorts on the way. start in quebec, then go ontario, manitoba, saskatch, alberta, bc then come back thru the states, just to give everybody a chance to get in on it
