Just thinking with all the stuff that gets submitted on the site there could almost be a NS Magazine. It would add an extra dimesnion to the NS journalist network...

Well personally in this age of instant information and the internet, the magazine has become increasingly less important... Take the Porn industry, because of the numerous websites devoted to porn, any tpye you can imagine right? The porn magazine industry has become less and less profitable, so much so that several magazines have one out of circulation. So it might sound like a good idea to some, but to the business man you only have to look at the once most profitable mag business in the world for an answer.

stuff in print mags is too old by the time it's published and delivered. ns has up to the hour shit, making it much better than a magazine. The only thing better in a print mag I could see would be photos, people that take real sick photos usually want money for then so they dont post them on ns.

The magazine business is cutthroat, expensive to get into, and unless you've got a legitimately good idea, and proven publishing talent, you're probably gonna fail. It'd be nice, but do we really need another ski magazine? Freeze, SBC SKIER, 2 Freeski, even Freeskier and Powder, all cover it as well as skiing can be covered in print.

Freezy deletes all my posts because he doesn't like me, so I suggest you message him to make him stop.
 
I think there's a ton of room for improvement as far as how skiing is covered in print, but it is indeed a very hard business to get into (read: expensive). Hopefully that shouldn't deter anyone from trying though.
