NS, I want to use your iOS app but it crashes every 5 minutes.

Using the app is a far better experience than mobile browser, but it freezes up often. Usually when loading threads, it freezes up on the white loading screen and I have to kill the app and lose my place to continue using it.

Pls fix. The app is great but kinda unusable for me.

Thanks, can you give us any more specifics on when the app crashes? Is it a specific section or has it happened on random pages?

It never happens right off the bat, usually after 5-10 minutes of browsing. Happens when I try to load content (usually a thread page) and gets stuck on the white loading screen and becomes unresponsive and I’m unable to click buttons. Killing the app is the only remedy I’ve found.

What is your internet connection like? Ive had white loading screens like that before with poor internet. Either way Ill send this to the Devs

200 mb/s on WiFi, LTE everywhere else

I think I just replicated it. Is this what you’re seeing?

My menu is unresponsive and I had to close the app.

Ok perfect. We still don’t know what is causing it, but I replicated on my iPhone X so we should be able to figure it out!

This is also happening to me, iPhone X iOS 12.1 as well. Happened twice in the last 10 minutes so I’m just using the safari rn

We’ve got it replicates, and have narrowed it down to a bug in the platform we used to build the app.

Waiting On a suggested fix. Should be incoming soon!
 
iPhone X iOS 12.1.2 same issue but a grey screen vs white, happens whenever I reopen the app when it’s been in ram for a bit it goes unresponsive for 20 seconds then sometimes comes back or I just have to force close and re-open

no big deal! Minor annoyance but it takes what? 5 seconds to close and reopen the app lol

everything else has been butter! Keep it up guys. Also miss u doug :(

Miss you too, bud! Gotta shred some laps one of these days again.

This bug is total bullshit, it is awful to have to restart. It happens to me too though, so I completely get how bad it is.

Sorry its taken so long to address. :(
 
bumped into another bug when I checked in on a scheduled edit release today, the title bar in the iOS app can’t handle special characters

I don’t know what your tech stack is for the app or if you already have a solution for bug/crash reports, but I’ve been using bugsnag to alert me whenever there’s an error or crash in my app. It’s helped me catch so many things that I wouldn’t have otherwise. It might be able to catch things like this.https://www.bugsnag.com
