Yes this should go in site discussion but no one really looks at that, to my point does anyone know who was the first original member? The lowest member number I've seen is around 2000, and since I have ADHD its really been bugging me not knowing.
 
the true og members like bishop say before september 2001. a little ominous imo but your not gonna find member #1
 
if you just change the number at the end of the link it will show you who the member is with the # you typed in. some of the single digit member #'s names are pretty funny.
 
i dont feel like tracking it down but there is a nice little history of NS in its early days at least
 
Its kind of sad seeing some of the oldest members not logging on anymore. I wasnt hear for any of them but still.
 
thanks for helping guys i think its pretty fun that the guy who made it doesn't even go on anymore he probably has no clue how big its gotten.
 
He's not that far away. He's the editor of Freeskier. I am pretty sure he is aware of what he has created here.
 
cause he's busy with all the Freeskier stuff...he's not only the editor of the magazine, but one of the editors and writers on their site. Also, Freeskier has it's own "social network" thing to it. And to be completely honest, sometimes I feel like he comes on under an alias and posts, cause some stuff that gets posted by some alias seem like it's him...but I could be wrong.
 
In an environment where extremely dumb shit is said profusely, this has to be in the top tier in the dumbest shit ever said, especially given the pure naivety of it.

most of the noobs cant handle the history. Can't appreciate it. A comment such as the one quoted illustrates that.

i rember a time when you had to have a spork to protect your self from tubgirl and goatese and there was the great e-wars against rival ski sites... it was a bad time for the empire. irishdrinks ass was all over. and lat ruled suprime..... man those were the days... and jd may owned me evey single timed i logged onn. when kazi took over many things changed... some say for the better some thought differant... but ive had a fun time on this wacky crazy and sometimes smart website i mean shit i keep comming back. and i might sound noob but what happend to kazi any way?
 
You can put any number you want for the member number and there will be a profile. There's not anyone behind member number 99999999999999999999999999...
 
member number 69 has 0 contributions and 36 karma...probably for the sole reason he is number 69

what a waste...what a waste....
 
I forget who it was, perhaps Mattman? Someone made a expanded history of NS with all of the early drama and everything, it was really random and funny. Years back, must have been in 2006 or so.
