what up ns im recently sealed the deal on all my paperwork and am going to ubc next year. i literally know nothing about vancouver in terms of places to live, mountains to ski (beside whis) or where to find legit people. im from vermont so i cant really go a peep places to rent for next year or even where to find some roomates besides craigslist. if anyone is looking for a roomate, or knows someone looking for a roomate PLEASE hook me up. im way down to earth, i listen to good music, im always down to party and skiing as much as possible is pretty much my number one goal for next year.
sparknotes: 20 years old, from vt, looking for a roomate/place to rent starting this aug, and some chill homies to ski with
 
best bet is a whis student pass ($400) but gotta work out transportaion up there. of the local mountains, seymour or grouse are the best for park (grouse has good jummps and OK rails, seymour has dope rails and the jumps are way sick, but seymour has shit-tastic chairlifts). not sur about accommodation or anything...

As for living off Campus look for a in Dunbar, Kitsilano or on W.16th. I'm not sure what my living situation will be come then, but a spare room opens up I'll of course give priority to anyone on NS.
 
cant help with accomodation but if you will have a car, then seymour for sure, but if you are car-less then i would recommend grouse just for the ease of being able to use public transportation to get there, and a y2play pass for grouse is pretty cheap and they start selling soon-ish so you might wanna snag one, but to be honest grouse isn't the best mountain for park, but its still a good time.
 
if you're looking for places on craigslist, anything in kits, point grey, or dunbar is very convenient to UBC. Clark/Main/Commercial are cooler spots but further away from campus (20-30 more minutes by bus). i'll keep my ears open for anyone looking for a roommate.

grouse is really easy to get to because of the buses, and they have a good park. seymour has a bit better park but the chairs are slow and only 2 mans. Cypress is kinda shitty, but the biggest mountain on the shore. there's also direct buses from many places around vancouver to ubc. good luck
