NS Help Me With My Debate Essay!

So I'm supposed to write a persuasive essay this weekend and I have chose the topic of community service requirements for my school district. At my school district you are required 60 hours of community service in order to obtain the right to graduate.
Now I am on the opposing case fighting that, so what are a few good arguments I could make to relieve this requirement from my school district.
Need some arguments on why 60 hours community to graduate is a bad/stupid requirement.

How will community service further my education.

60 hours of community service will take away from my study time. something like that.
 
- students should be focusing on their studies and being forced to complete 60 hours of community service takes time away from that.
but this is a tough one to fight because its hard to argue that community service is not beneficial and good. my english teacher from last year told me that in a persuasive essay its ok to almost compromise some. like say that 60 hours is too much time and that it would be more valuable to the students if the requirement was lessened to 10 hours or something. idk, good luck
 
I think steven had a good point that forced volunteering makes it of more a self serving nature
