This ski season I successfully blew up a pair of 4frnt cols, rossi scratches, black crows corvus, and my bentchetlers :(

Anyway now that I only have a pair of wren 108 I need to rebuild my quiver.

So ns I'm gonna let you build it for me :)

Ab me, 6'1 180 lbs freeride competitor who dabbles in park

What I need:

100-110mm playful all mtn ski

120mm+ pow ski (similar to bents maybe revolt 121, inthaynes?)

Park ski -100 mm (maybe vishnu wet plus, revolts?)

I'd like to know your thoughts and suggestions, feel free to ask any questions :)

damn i've never heard of anyone blowing out chetlers

Eh it was a 20 foot drop straight to a rock, blew out the sidewall and ripped the edge straight out. I'm actually getting them warrantied but figured since I spend 90% of my time inbounds with them I'd benefit from a heavier more durable ski so I'm going to sell the chetlers. Def vibe w the icelantic construction but not as much the shape, rode a pair of nomad 115's a few years back, still have them actually. I didn't get along with them too well which may be due to aggressive skiing, but I think it was more the shape them profile (too tight of a sidecut, I like straighter skis) interested in maybe the on3p woodsman. Love my wrens just wish for something more playful.

jeffrey 108

chetler again, or idk tgose line pescados look interesting

90 mag 102, poacher, arv 96, dollo, b dog

gotcha, what year nomad 115s?

100-110mm playful all mtn ski

- Jeffrey 108 for a very playful ski with similar stability to the Wren 108

- Woodsman 108 for a more even split between the Wren 108 and Jeffrey 108 (you can drive the Woodsman much harder than the Jeffrey, but it's a bit less surfy vs. the Jeffrey)

- Armada ARV 106Ti for something that slots somewhere between the Jeff and Woodsman (not quite as stable, but lighter in the air, can drive harder than the Jeff)

- Prior Northwest 110 for an alternative to the Jeffrey 108 that you can drive a bit harder. But it'll probably be hard to find for cheap.

120mm+ pow ski

- If you were skiing the old, heavier Bent, I think the Revolt 121 is an awesome choice. It's very stable while also being super loose and surfy. Awesome pow ski.

- Jeffrey 116 for a more stable / heavier option.

- Moment Wildcat for a much lighter ski that's easier to spin while being similar in terms of stability.

- K2 Catamaran for a more playful, less stable alternative to the Revolt 121.

- Line Outline or new Bent Chet 120 if you don't care about mobbing through chop and just want a ski that's super easy to spin and slash around.

This might not be what you want but I have a pair of 2015 bent chetlers in what I'd call 8.5-9/10 condition. They're a bit beefier constructionwise than the current iteration of the bentchetlers so a bit heavier too. Got solid bindings on them too. 192 length

Ahaha this thread’s the funniest gear thread I’ve read in a long time

I’m in a similar place, my old 4frnt YLEs have all but snapped in half at this point. I was thinking about getting some JJs.. you guys think that’d be tight? Any other skis that would be a good replacement?

Yo yo dead set on the revolt 121 yet jw if shifts would do fine if I was using them for 90%inbounds? Haven't tried the shift yet and I'm not completely sure ab durability.

I'm curious why you would mount shifts on the revolt 121...are you planning on touring with them?
