Nother Camera question

k my priorities have changed some...

What are some good video cameras for no more than ~$500?

the most important features to me are:

picture quality

battery life/recording time

please post any ideas and reviews that will help me out and ill give out some karma.

The main uses will be just home movies and such and of course some ski recording
 
i have a jvc camcorder and hate it. its awesome at day but is unuseable at night even with "nightalive" also it doesnt always work because of condensation
 
well idk what other camera to get.. cause i really want a camera with a hard drive so i dont have to use a card or disks.. um.. idk what to say, not that experianced in camera quailty/reliability
 
pm asianallen and tell him you can only spend 500 and what you need in your camera. HE knows a lot about filming so he's probably your best bet
