Not another mounting thread.

so, hate me all you want, but i just kinda want to know it the shop screwed up at all or if it's entirely my fault. I have had two issues with my mount now. I really liked the people at the shop and the dudes that mounted were legit. im pretty sure they will likely read this too, so no disrespect. the first thing was that i ripped out the toe piece on like a maybe 10 drop, probably more in the 8 range. turns out they put the wrong screws in so there was only like a thread and a half actually contacting the ski. took them back, "no problem, we're super sorry, that shouldn't have happened, when do you need them by?". K, inconvenient and they didn't offer anything like a partial refund or anything, but i wasn't hurt. fair enough.second day on them, remounted, pretty stoked. run one: pop a one, not very comfortable riding switch on them on groomers (ARGs), not even too comfortable riding forwards yet. anyways, I didn't have prime control, had a little wobble and one ski came off. shit, that's embarrassing. oh well.second run. this is where it got a little serious. came into a slope with a like three foot drop/steep spot. when i went to drop in (ie hop and turn my skis), one fell off. obviously that dropped a lot of weight from my left side, so i spun further and lost balance. i took a tumble over the little drop. man this is getting embarrassing, i thought. except this time i kept tumbling. i tomahawked probably a good ten times, a couple times doing full rotations almost without touching the ground as well as the odd scorpion or two. basically i was moving pretty fast. when i got up, i felt surprisingly fine, and aside from being mad embarassed and choked about having to hike up (right under the chair) and get my ski, thought i was pretty lucky. by the bottom of the run, my neck was really starting to hurt. it's the next day now, and i can't move my head quickly in any direction and it pretty much always aches. I think im fine, but still have to get back/neck x-rays tomorrow or the next day to make sure. at the bottom of the run, i went to adjust my din, because it was clearly too low. It had been turned down from 10 (which I thought was pretty conservative, but would probably be ok) to 7. Now, I didn't write down what din I wanted them at, but they were at 10 when I sent them in. I know I should have checked before skiing, but like i said, im just wondering. not looking to take this information and go get mad at them, though if they are at fault, i may drop them an email just to let them know so that they hopefully don't do it to anyone else. also, i put my height (6'2") and weight (170lb) on the paper, so I can't understand why they would drop them so low, especially on that ski.
 
Damn...I know nothing about liabilities, but I can't imagine they have the right to adjust your DIN without telling you!
 
They reset your DIN to the correct setting on the chart. Legally this is what has to be done. Why do you think they took your height/weight when they remounted?
 
ive had this happen where i take my bindings in to get mounted then they lower the din and im pre-releasing all over the place. usually after i get bindings mounted i check the din and make sure its at the right one.
 
hmm. thanks. they take height/weight for any sort of service; it's just a general slip for all things. i put down that I was the skill level where you can choose your din, but i was in a rush and the guy said he could fill out the rest of the stuff for me and i forgot about the din. oh well. I didn't know about the chart
 
even with you're din at 7, they still shouldnt have come off THAT easily. you may want to have the forward pressure checked to make sure thats not an issue.
