Alright, so I got me these K2 PE's that I absolutely love all mountain, but they're just too stiff for park and I'm having a lot of trouble progressing there because I can't pop for shit. They have about one season left on them because they got some cracked edges and other bullshit. My plan is to use them for all mountain and finally get my hands on a dedicated park ski.

What I'm looking for...

1. All flexey and buttery and poppey and yay.

2. A ski that is going to last more than one season. As I said, my other skis are on their last legs and I don't want to be slapped with buying two new skis next year.

3. It does not have to be good all-mountain. At all.

4. $200-$350. I am very poor.

About me...

1. 6'0"

2. 150 lbs, but pretty strong, I work out

3. Been skiing for a long time, pretty comfortable/advanced as far as just skiing goes, but in the park I'm in the early stages of progression (270s out, 360s off jumps, etc)

I was thinking Invaders or Chronics as I saw them in the B/S/T forums, but I hear the Invaders are great for a season then they blow up, which made me a bit wary. Suggestions? Thanks!

Wow. That is a ragin' deal. Unfortunately I don't have the money today, I have to wait for tax returns, but thanks for the tip.

Ooohh, those are some sick deals. Does the site with the Thrusters have deals like that on the regular, I simply don't have money until tax returns come in.

this is weird, i'm in the same position. i have my PEs mounted +3 that slay new england all mountain, but i'm looking for something for just park, preferably symmetrical. right now i'm thinking either k2 disorderlys, dumonts or mayybe moment reno jibs, if i can afford them. the k2 disorderlys look sick though- a little stiffer than fujitives, symmetrical and apparently are absurdly poppy. they're also only $400 right now, which is cheep considering they're next years skis. i'm most likely either getting those, or possibly reno jibs if they're under $400 next season.

k thats my long-ass $0.02

o yea, if ur expecting to get more than a season of use (with rails)....don't get lines...

Ah shit, for real? Well... damn haha. Oh well, I'm sure there are non-Line skis in my price range somewhere.

If I can come up with the money those Disorderlys sound dope, thanks for the advice man.

i'd say dumonts and thrusters are both great options. the dumonts are no doubt stiffer than the thrusters, so you'd have to put some more weight in them to pop, but if you don't have a lot of money, meaning you won't be buying new skis every season, you might want to go for the dumont. I think the edges are more quality than the thruster.... but that could be a myth.

punx or urban punx, they might be a little out of your price range but my friend who i ski with who skis decently hard has been on his for 3 seasons and there still doin well

they arent thattttt stiff, but at 150, they arent going to be buttery either. rossi scratch fs/ghetto/s4 would be dope, as would disorderlys. solid choices there

take a look at the salomon threat for next season, its like 320$ retail, wood core, i demoed a pair in january, and theyre really fun. its like the replacement for the flyer, but with the same pop and feel as a thruster or an spk. i think its a really good deal for your money.

Aye, the only reason I was looking at Chronics is because my friend has beat the living shit out of his for three seasons and they're still up and running. I know they're not ideal park. I'll start looking for some of these skis on SAC and once I have some money I'll look for real. Seems like Thrusters and Disorderlys would be the best, but I'll see what happens. Muchas gracias.
