Nose butter din setting?

any reason for this? basically everyone I know has always used the white tab as a reference for correct forward pressure.

I have never found the white tab reliable on my 4 sets of pivots, but I also haven't looked at it that recently when setting. So that's not to say it isn't reliable, I've just always found myself getting a more correct feeling FP when done through look and feel; after a few sets I think you just "know." Although I'm aware that's not very helpful to 90% of people.

In my experience FKS/Pivot forward pressure has the least obvious correct value when being set. I could be wildly wrong but I've always managed to get them to where I am happy.

You've got me curious though, I'm going to do some assessment of my FP across my skis and see if I can return with some science!

If you adjust forward pressure to where the indicator lines up you usually still have mad play side to side when the boot is clicked in

I just got some vishnu wets am im trying to learn how to nose butter but i keep popping out of my look pivot 12s, I weight 130lbs and i am 6,0 feet tall, i was thinking to turn my dins up to a 7 but i dont want to destroy my acl/knee if i crash badly. what do you guys think i should set my din tI suggest to try 9 and if that still doesn't seem right try 10.

I'm 6'2 180lbs and I ride mine at 11/12 and I have yet to have a sketchy pop out on a butter, but still have my skis come off in situations where I want them to.

I agree that you should try 9 and if that doesn't seem right still then try 10.

I think you’ll be completely fine at DIN 7 or higher if it’s necessary. I am 6’2’’ and weigh 170 and ride my look pivot 14s at 10-11 DIN. The awesome thing about look pivots is that they’re designed to slide your boot out which better protects you against knee injury. Hope that helps
