Nose and tailslides

Skate- and snowboard has all sorts of slides. Us two plankers stick to Plain Jane underfoot. I wanna see noseslides and tailslides being done more on skis.

Seems like people mostly do them on C’s and Rainbows, where they are just kind of flying through the air and their skis happen to be touching the rail. I mean I can do them sort of whatever on a mellow flat box or maybe I just look like I’m having a seizure while sliding it’s hard to know

ahhh i gotchu, ive been calling that a “50 nose press”, don’t mind nosegrind tho, easier to say.

nose slides are so much fun and not that hard to do. its just hard to do anything but a strait slide when your on your noses. ill post a clip of me doing one later.

I feel like nose and tailslides are cool but too inconsistent, whereas stuff like backslides, fastslides and safety slides/other grabbed slides should get more attention.

and for people trying those, landing directly in the nose press positions helps alot to keep it you see it on that front 2

FIS comps are all spins to underfoot gaper slide. They shouldn't even score that crap. It's like Nyjah doing a normal boardslide on Street League. He'd get zero points.

Ski slides are still dope hahahah lets not get too outta hand. Theres a time and place for nose/tailsslides & blunts and shit but at the end of the day its just another trick and once people start doing them better and more often a lot of the variations wont look as good as the normal slide counterparts because you can’t really do them without having them being completely forced around. Like for ex, 2 on noseblunt pretz 2 is 100% possible but a normal 2P2 will for sure look better just because the nature of how weird it is pedaling and spinning out of a noseblunt

The sickest part of normal ski slides is that you have so much control that you can make it look effortless and control your skis. Egan’s tip dips are my fav example of that. Plus you lose all the swap tricks and 4’s will look like shit with the pressed slides too.

Used to do it front 2 and blind 2 on my prime. Kind of was my special sauce on this local dub barrel that was sick! It's all and super hard to get the blind 2. The front 2 is a pop of the noses and upper body turn and kind of looks lame. If you can get your head around (very hard) the blind 2s are sick. Pretty sure there's old edits of Casabon doing them

Nice! That's what I mean. If you can do them, then AssHaul and the rest of the FIS crew should be able to do them in comps.
