Northwestern football team wins bid to unionize

I'm strongly in favor of this as I believe college athletes have been shafted for years; I think this could forever change the balance of power in the favor of student athletes and take away from the absurd amount the NCAA holds over them.

I definitely think student athletes should get stipends. Shit I've probably made $10k in college off stipends and don't put 1/100th of the work they put in for their school.

Its great that they can unionize, but no one is going to start paying them. They might get more tuition money but they will never receive a payday for Northwestern, otherwise they will no longer be student athletes, they would become Semi-pro athletes or some sort of AAU football team.
