Northwest Big Mountain Comps

Hello all,

So I'm a freshman on the Whitman College Freeride team (sounds a lot more official than it is, as in we don't have a coach or probably much school sponsored money) and we're looking for some big mountain competitions this winter. I know this is the Washington thread, but the northwest regional one doesn't seem to get many hits and we'll go a good distance for a sweet event (WA, OR, ID, BC). We're in southeast WA, so a lot of driving is kind of inevitable. Here's what we've found tentatively so far:

Helly Hansen Big Mountain Battle, Feb 11th. Fernie, BC. Big Mountain

Valhalla Pure Powderkeg, Feb 26th. Whitewater, BC. Big Mountain.

Stomp Games, Mar 16th-18th. Sandpoint, ID. Park :(

Bridger Gully Freeride, Feb 18th. Bozeman, MT. Big Mountain

Any other ideas? Thanks for any suggestions

FYI big mountain battle is essentially a hiking comp as far as I know. I'm sure literature can chime in~

The fernie comp is cancelled.

The whitewater one is juniors only, so under 18

There's the Canadian open at red mtn, they were talking about calling quits on that one, not enough interest, hopefully it goes down.

Lake Louise has one which is pretty fun, not much snow, but a good party

And there's the FWT in revy, as well as a qualifier I think, not too sure

I'd like to hit some of the wa/id/montanter ones up maybe. Depends how life rolls.

Too bad crystal doesn't do one anymore.

There's. Not much out there if you're a senior and aren't on the FWT, which really blows

Going to add to the despair: stomp games is not a big mountain comp. It is a slopestyle and skiercross. Usually very subpar to boot.
