north korea would not attack china considering they helped to push back the american advance in to NK when the americans were helping the SK's. NK wouldn't be here today if the chinese didn't decide to help out. communism vs capitalism. the russians and the chinese couldn't allow a capitalist state on its borders.
 
times change, look at American history, 20-30 years ago we gave sadam weapons to use against Iran and for the last 15 years we have said he can't have them. and 10 years before that we were buddies with Iran.

Durring the cold war the US supported a small Rebel group in southern USSR in what is now called Afganastan that little rebel group was the talablan, and along with supporting him we also were supporting Osama Bin Ladin. And there are video recordings of Osama Prasing the US for what it was doing to help out, but then as time goes on the two countries go seperate ways and end up disagreing with eachother. And all of those sercumstances in less time then the 50+ years its been since the unnoficial end of the Korean War. And at the end of WWII the US and great birtain went from being allies with the USSR to hated enemies in about 5 years. The main thing is these alliances are formed not really because the two countries like eachother but that they are just against the same enemy.
 
this is a problem with alot of pro bush supporters. They have trouble believing that a country that claims to have nukes, and that there is evidence showing that they have nukes, actualy has nukes. But then becuse dubua says Iraq has weapons of mas distruction and that we need to go fight them now(without any real evidence) they believe that Iraq has WMDs.

See all this confirming shit now... "They haven't confirmed it yet!" North Korea claims to have tested it under ground (which is how all nuclier weapons are tested now) and there was a confirmed earthquake of significant megnitude to suggest that this could have happened. But it has not been 100% confirmed. Which I agree that it has not. But honestly when was anything about Iraq having WMD's confirmed?

 
Osama was not affiliated with the Taliban. The Taliban was formed after Russian retreat. Osama's group was MK. Short for a very long name I wouldn't spell right if I tried to.
 
The talliban was the group that we supported in their fight agains the soviets. And Osama was in it. Not high up but he was a member of the taliban when it was fighting against the Soviets.
 
No, Bin Laden's group (Maktab al-Khadamat) provided financial suppourt to the Taliban. You're so wron it's not even funny. He was not in the Taliban, he was a leader of his own orginization. The Taliban was formed around 1994, when all of the orginzations fighting the Russians came together and formed the Taliban. The soviets left in 1989, the Taliban was formed in 1994. So as you see, it's impossible we funded the Taliban. We funded small Islamic groups you've never heard of. We also probably funded the MAK, which was the major factor in the Afghan Civil War and eventually led to being Al Qaeda.
 
i guess its kinda messed that countries are still trying to develop a form of weapon that has only been used twice in any conflict so far. sure there is always the immenent threat and maybe thats the point. i'm just pissed that the u.s. feels it has the need to control who gets to develop weapon technology and who doesn't. does anyone else think that "weapons of mass destruction" is one of the bigger hypocracies demonstrated in the last number of years? one day the s***'s going to hit the fan and we're all all going to be screwed.
 
america supported the afghans because they didn't want that country to fall to communism. lets just say it was there way of getting back at the russians for helping the vietnamese.

china still wants to keep a buffer between democratic south korea and themselves. furthermore china has many assets in NK. investment and trade between these two countries average about 2 billion dollars per year. china is becoming a 'stakeholder' in the NK economy. and why do you think china always veto's further NK sanctions.
 
Well right now China is backing the UN messures to control North Korea's nuclier program. Does not sound like they are supporting them like allies right now. And I am also sure that China likes being the asian super power right now. And they do not want North Korea up there, where they could be a threat to china. No one wants North Korea to have nuclier weapons becuase their leader is fucking crazy he could decide at any moment that China was actualy secretly ploting to assasinate him or something due to there trade with the US, The guy is fucking crazy and that is why China is not going to back a North Korea with Nuclier powers.

1) Alot more poeple die from dissease car accident and cancer world wide than in war

2) War kills the young would be leaders of the world not the old "people" for lack of a better word.

3) World popilation will eventyally reach its plateau. Look at industralized nations like Germany and Japan they are actually exprencing a population decrease. So if you want to save the world from over poputaion you can do two things. Start thinking of ways to help the third world or dont pro create both would be a very smart decision.

3. Exactly, when countries do develop and are using as many resources as we are, we are going to see a very big shortage on a lot of everyday goods. Esepcially essential goods such as clean water and food. The onl way to "help" third world countries is to develop them. Right now they are living in agricultural based economies, and if they want to live "easier" they need help industrilializing. Once they do industrialize, you are going to see a lot of problems. If everyone lived the way people live in western Europe, America, Canada, and Australia, this earth would collapse to the round. There just aren't enough resources to make everyone happy right now. This is why the population needs to reduce.

Biggest American Test - 20,000kt (or 20Mt)

Biggest Soviet Test - 50,000kt (50Mt, scaled down from 100 for obvious reasons).

If North Korea ever attacked Japan, they would get wasted. If China stepped in, both would be in deep trouble. We back Japan to the death. They are very good friends and very valuable trade partners.
