North Dakota State University

Last week I checked out North Dakota State University, the campus was pretty dope and everyone seemed to know each other even though there is over 15 thousand people going there. It had good vibes all around. I was just wondering if anyone goes there and what they like and dislike about the campus? Parties, people, teachers, general atmosphere, that kind of stuff. I'm thinking of going into athletic training and they have a 100% completion rate of the program, lots of hands on stuff which I really like and all graduates have found jobs. Thanks.

Just to get it out of the way you can party at any school, that doesn't matter.

As far as NDSU, I personally wouldn't go there. I know plenty of people that do and everyone says the same thing, there is absolutely nothing to do there. There is waterfowl hunting in the fall if you like that but that's pretty much it.

I have a bunch of friends that go there and they love it. It's a great school from what I've heard and seen.

I'm planning on transferring to MSU Moorhead next fall so I'll probs see you around at some point.

Wouldn't be my first pick, but also not my last. My friend goes there and from what I heard it's pretty chill. But winters are absolutely horrible. Super cold...little snow...few hills. Also there really isn't much to do if you like the outdoors. Once again.....few hills so no mountain biking, climbing, hiking, cliff jumping, or really anything. I'm not so sure what the closest hill is....but it's gunna be a classic Midwest hill. But it is a decent school so if you are more interested in the education, and can't get into a more west-ish school....it's not that bad.

^closest hill to ski is probably Andes Tower Hills which is where I ride, about a 2 hr drive from Fargo

I'm just going to add on to what most everyone has already been saying.

I lived in North Dakota for nine months, it's by far my least favorite state in the US. You have to deal with sub-zero temperatures pretty much all winter long, the landscape is flat, and it's constantly windy. I've only been to Fargo twice and wasn't too impressed, but that's just how ND is. It's nice, because it's right next to Moorhead, and it's kind of like having a "twin cities" feel. Eventually, you're going to find out that 15,000 people in the student body really isn't that much. If your main priority is education, go for it, as long as you're okay with taking a big hit to the amount of days you can ski.
