These skis any good? I was thinking about picking up a pair of these for Christmas. I have old Armada T-halls or should I keep looking maybe get a pair of last years Lines or maybe Surface. I want a strict park ski, I wouldnt mind trying something maybe a little softer but these seem cool with camber. Inputs guys?

Thanks!

Dead moneys don't have reverse camber as far as I know, just a regular cambered park ski. Pretty sure anyway, are we talking about the same ski here?

I skiied the ace last week, it was awesome, the dead money is a step down but I almost bought a pair this year. They're a great ski, I'd look into the volkl kink (I ended up picking up a pair and love em) and even the volkl step, the step is pretty soft like your t hall, definitely some other options on the market for sure.

I rode the dead moneys for 3 seasons... they are pretty much an all park ski and I would suggest mounting them dead center but I liked them alot

Dead moneys are not really a park specific ski, they are not symmetrical and are more of an all mountain ski, nothing wrong with that I just don't think they'll perform great as a park specific ski for you

If you want a strict park ski, get the Ace of Spades. Love my new set. Super fast, durable, and decent weight. Theyre stiffer than the dead moneys though. Complete symetric as well.

I've skied both the dead money's and ace of spades and I can tell you they both rock. They're super poppy skis. Yea the dead money isn't smetrical, but that doesn't mean it's not a park ski. It is for sure. Deinitely going to be softer than the spades since there's no metal layers. I'd rock a pair for sure

Hell yeah I might have to pick up a pair! How do they compare with the stiffness of like my old T-halls or should I just get a pair of last years Line invaders or masterminds

Masterminds are capped so there's no comparisons. I don't follow armada too hard but Im thinking t-halls have a partial sidewall right? So a mastermind would be much softer. Dead moneys run a full sidewall so they'll be stiffer

Don't go with abangs they are heavy and the skate constructing gets really water logged. I would go dead money if you want a ski that's got the stiffness not to wash out on jumps. Can you budget two skis?

I would stay away from abangs. Heavy ski, with none of the benefits of a heavy ski. ie. not great durability, total noodle, etc.

If you are looking for a soft, fun, and durable ski, consider the Line TCs. They are the same ski that the anthems were, and people LOVED that ski. Durable, soft, fun, and it holds its own out of the park.

And one times are definetely not your conventional "strict park ski." Looks like lots of rocker and a 96 mm waist is getting pretty wide for park.

Well the reason I mentioned these is because I can get them for a super good deal off my buddy used once for almost half the cost of these other skis. Keep in mind my budget is my biggest factor for now and I just want a little change from 4 year old T-Halls and maybe try something else out.

Thanks for all the input though!

Or keep waiting and maybe a sick deal on some used skis will come up through out the winter here on newschoolers!!?

Try them out first if you can, and if you like them then go for it? They are just not a very conventional ski to use in the park. Not saying thats a bad thing, you might love the feel of a rockered fat ski in the park, but you also might hate it.
