Nordica Dead Money Boots

I am looking at getting some new boots for christmas and the Nordica Dead Moneys are one of the boots I am looking at.

Anyone have any experience using them?

Go to a shop which stocks them as well as many other brands of boots. Speak to a bootfitter - tell him what ski experience you have and what terrain you like to ski, e.g. park, powder, piste and that your interested in the Nordica dead money's

He will then either recommend that boot for you, or not. He will then proceed to find a boot which fits your needs and more specifically your feet.

I know you want to find out more info on these boots -

but really I think a bootfitter knows a lot more about this boot and many more than me or some other guy on here who bought a pair a week ago and thinks there sick.

Best boots ive ever owned. Easy to get in and out of and super comfortable. i have a narrow foot so they fit me well. I was going to get the ace of spades but I told myself last year I would never get a stiff boot again. When these get cold they stiffen up anyways. They market it as a park boot but I find it's just an awesome all around big mountain, jib, cruising boot.

have em, like em
i like the 3 buckle system cuz its distributes impacts across the front of your shins and feet without any pressure points. plus the snow pant guard in the back is pretty cool, and theyre ridiculous colors

This is not what 3 buckle does. The middle buckle is designed to pull your ankle, at 45deg back into the heel pocket. Thus giving the boot better hold over you. It has nothing to do with distributing impact.

well my tecnicas used to dig into the top of my foot/bottom of my shin when i landed hard switch, but the dead moneys dont because of the plate where the buckles are. so yes, they are meant to hold you in tighter, but they also reduce pressure points that other boots may have. i was merely stating my opinion
also, do you own them? or are you just trying to sound cool?

I went to a bootfitter and they fitted me into the dead moneys. I was just trying to get some opinios from people that have actually ridden in them before.

I've been considering these boots as well. I decided that I don't want a boot without the 45 degree buckle on your ankle. I love that, it's on my rollerblades and I want it on my ski boots.

This could be an attribute of a 3 part boot (krypton, tilts, this style of Nordicas) but it has nothing to do with the buckles.
