Nordica Ace Of Spades

Hi
I have recently been to a ski boot shop in my local area and did not have any nordica's in stock. I wear a size US 9.5 shoe but when trying on a pair of salomon quest 10's the boot fitter put me in a size 26.5. I am interested in buying a pair of Nordica Ace of Spades boots but am unsure of what size to order as i feel as though the sizing varies across brands? What size would you suggest I get if i measured my feet to be 27cm?

great boot, but you can't buy boots this way. the ace has a lot more volume than other boots. so a 27 ace will fit way different than a 27 tecnica. go see a boot fitter dude. if you do end up with the ace they are badass. best boot i have owned. hit me up if you need any info on them.

Yeah, Its not the most ideal way to buy boots, but in the area I live in, there is only one ski shop and they have a very limited range of boots. I just read that Nordica and Salomon boots are meant to be a mondo size down from others, so the 26.5 boot size should be the right size. This is the only way for me to buy boots unless I go with a very average /expensive pair of boots. The boots I have tried on have a last of around 100mm, a flex of 110 and were a 3 buckle design so I am hoping that these will be quite a similar fit?

yeah they are a 3 buckle with 1bout 100mm last and a flex index that ranges from 110-130. they are super good and plenty stiff when you are on them. i wear a 9 sneaker ( vans etc..) and i wear a 25 in the ace. so that is what works for me. i wear my boots 1 size smaller than i measure so that when they pack out they fit perfectly. also, highly recommend a custom footbed, it will do wonders for mutting your whole foot in the optimal position. in my expericene nordica has more volume than any salomon boot....although i have never had a quest. salomon is traditonally one of the narrowest boots with low volume and i know that the quest is different and fits a lot better than older salomons. oh, and the ace is lighter. giver'

i tried the salomon quest and nordica aos together and found that the nordica boots were much roomier, i'll post up my foot size and boot size when i get home...
ps: trying them on is the ideal way to go, but if this is your only way, i'll be glad to help you out, since those boots are by far the best boots i've ever worn!

You can't rely on the sneaker size people wear, some people tend to wear their shoes bigger then the size they actually have and besides brand sizes differ from each other

Thanks for all your responses.
Yes it really isn't the most ideal way to purchase a pair of boots but is my only way at the moment. At the moment I ride on Technica Vento's 260-265 with a 95 flex and find that they are a little small and don't have enough flex. But since trying on the Salomon Quest 10's in the store i was suprised at how well they fitted even though they were only 26.5's. So judging from what you and others have said, getting a 26.5 in the Ace of Spades would be right for me. The salomon's i tried on were a 110 flex and felt perfect for the way i like to ski. How does the ace of spades handle the groomed runs and back country?
Thanks :)

I just thought i would let you know, I have just received my ace of spades and they fit me like a glove, most comfortable boot i have ever been in. I took a gamble and in my case it worked out! So happy and relieved, all that is left to do now is to get custom footbeds and them heat molded!
