so my parents arent letting me buy new skis. they control my bank account. i lost all hope when my dad went on a rant about how i bought brand new park skis last year and "destroyed a perfectly good pair of skis" on rails, even tho none of the edges have fallen out or even split. i am so dejected.

dude, my parents would never let me get a pair of skis a year. even if they let me, i normally pay for at least 75% of it...and im only 13, so its mad hard to get the money

they also said "its philosophically wrong for a 16 year old to own two pairs of skis" even tho its my money.

yeah that sucks i hate when parents do this... didnt you post a thread about this last night saying your parents wouldnt let you get arv's or something because you got tms last year?

thats exactly how my parents are, hopefully i'll have a job this summer so i can have cash and they cant say anything about it, i have to pay for everything but what are ya gonna do, ride hard and if your stuff breaks then they have to let u get new stuff

but the thing is my tm's rip in park, i just want a ski that will be funner to ride in bc and groomers

yeah, i got fujatives now and i kinda regret buying them cause i want a stiffer ski, but my parents dont get it because they dont ski, but you could ride them until they break and then warantee them but tell your parents that they might not get waranteed so in the mean time you get new ones, then the warantee ones come back and ,voila, 2 pairs of skis haha

same, you just gotta find the cheapest deals possibel when u pay for everything. I got my fujis with bindings for $220 at some ski swap. Brand new.

yeah man i kno i got a deal my parents just arent letting me buy skis period, with my own money. my buddys parents r so chill they let him drop hella money on shit..,.and pay for a lot of it too

i have to pay fro all my stuff also, im 15 so im gonna get a job this summer and ill be set. plus a good way to get deals is just buy off of decade snow and skate. great prices, really good. i just got some axial2 Ti Pro's for $130. just gota look for the deals. and i bargained with a kid and i got some mike nkck pro's for only $65, theyre beat up but i can fix em up.

yeah wel maybe i'll smuggle some in and act like theyre yours ben. and then lave em at ur house.

^dude, i know your tempted, i say go for it

even if u are disowned it would be soo worth it, and he cant talk to you about destroying yur skis

why dont you just buy the skis, bring em home, cockslap your mom and be like haha you cant do nothing. they cant make you return the ski, say you forgot to get a receit or some shit.

then go buy them, or wake your parents up and bug them about it. pretend to have a mental breakdown...and claim the reason for it is that you just want those new skis.

some 04/05 arv's 175 with marker 1400 free bindings just went for 200 bucks on ebay, barely used. aahhhh such a good deal and i wanted them soooo bad

everyday after you skied just say out loud: "i was a perfect pow day, but because i have so skinny skis i couldn't ski it. all my friends could, but i couldn't ski. i had to ski alone all day, because my all friends went skiing pow." that's how i got a second pair of skis.

dude, your 16 years old and your parrents are in charge of what you use money for??? what? how stricted are they? i don't know about USA, but in norway there's a law on that when your over 16 years old you are in charge of your own money, but you cannot commit yourself to an binding contract. (like buying things on monthly pays, or anything that has to do with you commiting to something and paying for it) i think that how it was...

i will soon own 4 pairs of twins, and like 3 pairs of normal skis, tell your parents its your money

I buy all my stuff with money I make working. I could not imagine my parents trying to control money I earn. I am so sorry dude.

im 16 and all my shit gets bought for me, because im spoiled. the stuff i wanna buy next season is extremely expensive though so i have to get a job to buy it

That sucks cause if it's your passion, well you better invest in it if you want to have more fun....hell it's your money, not theirs, so tell them you only want skis, not a car or a house....

yeah, i used to race, it takes so much money, atleats 3 dif. pairs of skis, and these arent shitty skis either, 600$ for each pars w/o bindings, then you need a speedsuit, poles, helmet, goggles, boots, it gest mad expensive superfast

$700 plug boots, 4 pairs of skis, each $1000 (slalom, gs, super g, downhill), shin guards, $100 poles, $100 gloves, $300 zuit suits (spandex yuk)

basicly racing is expensive

just get a job and dont deposit any of it and sooner or later, you'll earn up enough money to buy skis

my mom was horrified when she found out i use my skis on "bare rails" she was like, theres no ice or snow on them?!?!
