noob boots question

...just wanted to know what s most important when choosing ski boots (except comfort)

his hardnest or softness ?? Both store told me 2 different thing :-/

well it depends what kind of flex you like. if you are a beginner, you will probably want something softer. it also depends on what kind of skiing you do and how strong you are

yeah, it definately depends on what type of skiing you do. if you have softer boots, going fast on hard pack or crud can be a chore, but if you are a good skier, its not really a problem. if you have stiff boots, landings arent as easy, cant get as much pop of the lip, and skiing switch is tougher.

Fit, if you have boots that fit, they should be money everywhere. Otherwise, park rats should buy soft boots because they are better for park.

I think you should just get a boot with in between softness. 1080 boots are probably the softest they come at 70 or 80 flex, and then my race boots are like 11-130 flex. I would try and get something between 90-100. The 1080 boots are nice tho, sorta sloppy here and there. A boot to try, that is 95 is the Rossignol freeride XX, I haven't ridden it tho.

i have the Lange Concept boots and they're pretty nice, a good flex built for park/all-mountain riding. plus, i got them for $130 on sale at getboards.com a while back, but i don't know if they're still on there though. but if you find a pair for cheap, i suggest getting them. you won't be disappointed.
