"Non-park" helmets

My friends give me shit for wearing a Smith Vantage helmet, which has a huge amount of vents. I give them shit (in turn) for not letting people have their own style. Thoughts?

That's a park helmet though, it's TSG's version of Pro-Tec's Classic Full Cut. My dad has a Smith Vantage and is against Freeskiing. He hates on me for taking the winter liner out of my helmet and wearing my goggles under it. Make of that what you wish.

Since park skiers became really self-conscious about trying to be intentionally different from others skiers so they decided to copy snowboarders and skateboarders instead of just doing their own thing and not worrying about it.

That's why I wear hockey jerseys. They don't know I'm wearing all my other great under it. Nothing better than throwing a hip check to a line of ski school kids.

That's actually why I bought the helmet, took a spill a few years ago and cracked open my Bern baker. I've been pretty safety-oriented on my buckets since.

Who cares personally I wouldn't wear that helmet just because there are other ones that i like the look of better but to eaches own as long as you like it and it protects your head it doesn't matter at all dont get sucked in to the whole you have to wear the right stuff to be a freeskier and have the freeskier swag in order to be good, as long as you like what your wearing and have fun then that's all that matters.
